Hi WA family,

Hope everyone is doing well and staying healthy. Well it is time for another health post. I have taken on a crusade against arthritis and inflammation. There may be no cure for arthritis, but we can live without the pain.

See the guy up above, well there is only so much he can do. In most cases it is pain killers, physiotherapy or seeing a chiropractor.

First of all, I know the posts here are supposed to be related to WA issues. Without good health contributing, and working on our journey to success could get compromised.

I am still in a lot of pain caused by arthritis, but day by day I get better mainly due to a huge change in my diet.

I am guilty of abusing my body through eating all the wrong things, and drinking alcohol in excess. Yes I am a recovering alcoholic.

Over time our stomach becomes incapable of dealing with all the toxins we put into it. When, we get older these toxins start to leak out into our bloodstream creating several medical conditions. Here I am dealing with inflammation and arthritis, and what is called, "Leaky Gut Syndrome".

I have some pins which I would like to share with you. I hope I am not crossing the line by posting them here. It is just that I strongly believe we should take better care of ourselves to avoid health issues.

This is just a handful of suggestions that will strengthen your immune system, protect you from the discomfort of pain and inflammation. There is one other pin I would like to share with you. In recent times sitting has been compared to smoking. Sitting for long periods can cause problems with back pain and bad posture. It is recommended that for every hour you sit down, you spend fifteen minutes just walking around and or doing something physical. I know when I am occupied with WA, I sometimes forget how long I have been sitting down for. Through research, I found this simple pose we can all practice for ten to fifteen minutes as often as we chose to do so.

Love all the pins. I've always been a TERRIBLE eater. I've been doing better but my body tells me when I've had a lot of sugar or even soda. My joints ache. When I eat better, I feel better. Go figure. lol

This pose is great. We do it in yoga all the time as an option for the end of our session.

Yep, I RARELY drink soda or any sweet drink and I've curbed my sugar SIGNIFICANTLY. People don't believe it when I tell them they'd feel better (and I know from personal experience) if they ate/drank better. Really, it's not what they want to hear. Yet they wonder why I don't have all the problems and take all the pills they do.

Michael, Thank you for sharing both your background and this great info on how to perform better in the daily life as well as what we do here at WA. Whithout having a physiology which is in a good state, we cannot perform at our best, when developing our online presence.

I have a veey mild form of ahtrities and this information you have provided will help me to alleviate my pain and discomfort on a daily basis.

Thank you Roy. I am amazed at what changing my diet has done for me. My pain is decreasing day by day.
I know you can beat this Roy, like I have said there is no cure but we certainly do not have to live in pain.

Well, you appear to be well-educated, Michael. I know it's hard keeping to a diet. After a while it will become second nature, but that takes some time, especially if you crave something else. Don't be to hard on yourself.

If medication can help ease the pain, take it in moderation. For a while when my feet used to burn and swell up like footballs, I would take two baby aspirines and allow them to melt in my mouth while I lied down to stay off my feet. I was able to go three days with this solution. I did this for a whole year, every three days, two baby aspirin.
These days, my feet don'w swell anymore or burn. In the summer, they rarely do. My inflammation is way down because of all the fruits I eat, especially cherries. You know those big cherries that come in a bag? In the summer I eat one a week. I kid you not. In the winter I use pure cherry juice. That works too.

Hi Joss, when the pain get's really bad I may take a Tylenol. Other than that I have changed my diet drastically. I am glad to hear that your feet don't swell up anymore, and you enjoy the big cherries and pure cherry juice. These are really good for controlling inflammation.

Thank you for sharing your experience and this informative post. I wish you to be healthy and feel good every day. I know that the right daily diet is helpful in arthritis. Time ago, I suffered from an acute form of rheumatismal arthritis.
The doctor cures me with cortisone for 4-5 months, and to not get weight and have a good result, during this time I eliminated salt 100% from my diet and never consumed fried foods, only steamed or boiled foods. I also have used nettle tea for many months.
