Hello Friends,

I'm building a new website, and I like it to be in Albanian and English. I read some training and blogs here, but all of them suggest a Translator Plugin

Hello, Alketa1
You can try to install the WPGlobus plugin, which can publish articles in multiple languages, and the plugin will automatically redirect and display the corresponding language according to the visitor's location.
But the article requires you to manually publish it yourself. I have a website adsenseearnmoney.com, which is the plugin installed.

Hi Jessroy, Thank you for sharing your solution with me. I visited your site and tested one of the articles from English in Italian, and the translation seems nice at first sight. How impact this plugin your site's speed?

Thank you
Alketa

Hi Alketa1
Using this plugin has no effect on the web page loading speed, so you can use it with confidence.

We write some posts in Thai and some in English, though the main menu is in English.
You can add Albanian next to or below your English menu for ease of operation.
Then put every other post in English.
You can do this on multiple pages and you can even select a theme that will allow you multiple menus. One menu can be English, one menu can be Albanian.

Because you can write in Albanian this will not cost you anything. You can have everything twice on your site.

Just a thought.

Alex

Thank you, Alex. I think to create categories for each language, and use the same menu.
Have a productive week.
Alketa

Hi Alketa it will be nice to see you write in both English and Albanian, I think wordpress Plugin is good because the have translator as well.

Thank you Eunice for your suggestion.
I appreciate.
Alketa

Great question all of your answers are great suggestions I’m just reading comments learning

An idea. You could write a post in each language and put Albanian and an English categories the menu. Then up at the top in the right side of your header put a widget with a text editor in it that states your site is in English and Albanian.

Laura

Hey Laura, Thank you, my dear.
How to interface the categories, do I need to create two main menus, one in Albanian and one in English?
Thanks
Alketa

You can do that or you can set it up like a Blog roll. One in English and one in Albanian. It depends on the theme you are using. You can put one menu above the header and one below the header if you do it in categories. Like I have in my resign with money site under my profile photo.

Let me know if you need more clarification.

Hello Friends,

In following Kyle's post a few days ago, I'm trying to improve my site speed, analyzing every article in Page Speed Insights. The last month, my mobile spe

Hi Alketa, I have compared the loading speeds of jpegs and jpeg2000 and did not find a difference.

Yes I do use Kraken but even though it is not recommended to add two plugins for the same purpose I found that adding: Lazy Load - Optimize Images did give my speeds a boost. For YouTube I am using the plugin: WP YouTube Lyte.

Seems generate press has a lot of positive comments. I am using an free Astra Theme.

It would be nice to know what your site speeds are and what are the plugins you are using.

Best wishes,
Michael

Hi Michael,
My site speed gets worse last April after I add Google Ad code and after the installation of WP Product Review Lite, a plugin for review snippet. My pages and posts get slower under 50 or 60 in the mobile view, and before that, I have all green or yellow, but no one was in the red zone.

Today I did a few things:

I delete the Google code and deactivate the WP Product Review Lite and Kraken, and I installed SMUSH since it offers the lazy load and WebP format images.
All my articles go up to 90 on the desktop speed. Only four of them are in the red zone on mobile.

For the Youtube Videos and other issues, I send a ticket to support for giving me a recommendation about the right plugin or if I need to use the codes that recommended in Google speed insight.
I don't have a lot of plugins, and for social media, I have Ultimate Social Media.

Thank you for your support

Alketa

Hi Michael,

I just installed the a3 Lazy Load plug-in, and all my articles are Green.
Top speed.

Thank you again

Alketa

Great stuff.

Michael

I too have a GP theme and a premium version.
I looked at optimizing my images ( I use Kraken image optimizer) and I made many of them smaller on the site - but then I had another issue which helped me to figure it out.
I had a problem with a menu not working on the mobile site and I had to deactivate all my plugins (I have many as it is an eCommerce site).
I was amazed at the difference in site speed once the plugins were deactivated.
I have since reactivated some of them and check to see my menu is working each time and I have seen a slight slowing of the site with more plugins added.

That would be my suggestion deactivate your plugins and then reload them one by one until you find which one is slowing you down.

Alex

Hi Alex, thank you very much for the detailed information. I don't have many plugins, but I noticed that after installing a review snippet plugin, my site speed gets worse. I'll follow your advice and test my plugins one by one. By your experience, If I deactivate a plugin, can it have any impact on my articles?

Thank you again
Alketa

When I started, I deactivated all of my plugins - including Generate Press.
Because my site is a shopfront, I had some issues with my store, that I needed to reactivate some plugins quickly - but none of them affected my blog roll.

I even deactivated Kraken image optimizer and then reactivated it after a while - pretty much everything still worked.

As long as you do not trash the plugin you can reactivate it.

Hi Alketa,

I have had horrible mobile speeds on one of my websites from when I started and finally after making a mess of it I contacted my WA coach and he loaded Short Pixels and a paid cashing plugin called WP Rocket. My speeds are amazing now. I'm not technically good so I can't advise you but he says that my social sharing plugin was slowing my website down and he's never found a social plugin that doesn't.

I posted a blog yesterday about my speed problems that might interest you.

Some food for thought.
Lily 😁🎶

You might be on to something there Lil. I don't have a social media plugin though.
I have a Premium theme with the social media included in the theme.
Michael.

Interesting. My website is a Generatepress which are usually very fast so I was really puzzled.
Hope you can work it out Michael.

Lily 😁🎶

Hi Lily, Thank you very much for your recommendations. I appreciate. I'll go to read your blog and write you back.
Have a great day.
Alketa

I will watch the comments. My mobile is crap I have all the settings where they are supposed to be.. Intelligent Lossy etc.
I never (rarely ? ), download anything bigger than 1200 pixels for use in my posts.
When I go to Goggle to submit an URL Goggle tells me my post is mobile friendly.
So I have stopped worrying about it. If Goggle likes it that is good enough for me.
Michael.

Thank you, Michael, for your answer and for your suggestions. GSC tells me the same, every post is mobile friendly. I don't want that Google penalizes me in ranking positions for the speed.

Hello Everyone,
When I do URL Inspection in Search Console result that my pages indexed, but when I go-to coverage, I see a lot of subdivisions, one of them is "Indexed, no

Great answers below, Alketa!

What I have been told is that the “Indexed, not submitted in sitemap” just means that the page was discovered via another way. You probably offered it directly to fetch it on GSC.

Thanks Loes, yes sometimes I have done URL inspection at the same day that I published the post.

Hi Alketa,
Trust you are well kind lady.
I think it is easy to get caught up in the machinations of search console. There are a myriad of ways to decipher and interpret the information and even then still go round in circles.

I have encountered the same and from what I gather indexed not submitted can be Google has indexed but did not receive a submitted for you do so through the search console. The important bit is that it is indexed and I'm sure in your case running fine.

Robots.txt can block for example content in your privacy policy and disclosure documents. So far as everything is running right and you have no errors that you need to address there is nothing you need to do. ;)

Take care!

Rami.

PS now that I've written all this I see abledragon has covered this ground more eloquently than me...lols

Thank you, Rami, I appreciate.

Hey Alketa, for you anything ;) and you are most welcome anytime ;

Hi there,

There are a couple of points here:

Firstly, WordPress has a virtual robots.txt file which is active by default. So you should not need to do anything.

Re the messages from GSC:

The principle should always be to keep the sitemap and your index/noindex settings in sync for each page on your site.

For example, if you set a page as 'noindex' then you must also exclude it from the sitemap.

Normally you don't need to do anything because the default status is to index all pages and include them in the sitemap.

So, you only need to do something different if you mark a page as 'noindex'. When you do that, then you also need to exclude it from your sitemap.

I wrote a post and did a video on one of my sites that addresses the error message 'Submitted URL marked noindex', and how to fix it.

If that is the error message you're receiving I can give you the URL of that post if you PM me.

Cheers,

Martin.

Thank you, Martin, I send you a PM.
