is it Legal andor ethical - what would you do?

I am in search of a new adventure, looking for what I intend to be my last sales job working for anyone.

I came across this opportunity with a US company, Automotive Consultants of Hollywood. It looked like potentially an easy way to make some cash. So I threw my resume at them and it appears they are very interested in talking with me. My interest since then has waned after doing some research.

Legal - they are not breaking any laws, at least for now.

Ethics - Their practices are prohibited by manufacturer's as gray marketing. I understand there have been a number of civil cases brought against them. Essentially their contractor's take delivery and pay for luxury cars with a cashier's check. You take the car and drop it off and they pay you a nice sum of money. The car is then exported to China and sold to people for much less than if they were to buy a car in-country.

UPDATE 4/27/2017 - The company called me, I said no thanks.

Big Thank you to all my WA friends, the response was overwhelmingly to not get involved.

There are a lot more opportunities out there that are genuine. I would back away from this scheme!

Hi Leon, I don't think this is a good idea! Go with what your heart is telling you... if you have doubts...don't do it...too grey!!

I'd be leery. Usually, when it sounds too good to be true (or easy), it's probably borderline at best.
Good luck!

I'd go with your gut. Your concerns shouldn't be ignored. As the saying goes, If it's too good to be true, it probably isn't. Debbie

I would not do it since the chances of something going wrong and you getting caught in the middle of it are high!

I wouldn't do it. If it's already a grey area, then chances are that something will be done about it at some point.

I don't think I would try it, sounds to easy.

That would be a No No for me. It may work for now, but it is certain to backfire eventually.

I would not risk it. Smile walk away and say No Thankyou
