I receieved a letter today telling me that my domain registration service will expire, need to renew it for search engine optimization submission. Please help me shed light on

Good job IMc!
Ed

That's a well known scam email. I get them all the time. Ignore it. ( Your domain may well be expiring soon - in which case you'd also get an email from the registrar. But the bit about SEO is bullsh*t. )

That's a relief! Thanks for the info. IMc. Cheers!

I am creating a series of video tutorials, which is the best option to use? A blogpost or a page?

TryingNathaniel's training here

Thanks Nathaniel. This is really helpful training link you sent me.

If any friends or colleague who owns a website, can I host them using my WA membership?

What I'm going to do is add the person as a user with admin rights. They have full control over their site but I'm able to step in if they get stuck. They're going to pay me more than the commision I'd get if they joined WA so it's worth it for me to do it this way.
I did pm Kyle to double check it was ok to host sites for other people and he said yes it is!

This is going to more exciting Kathy!
Thanks a lot!

Yes you can but they are under your control rather than them so it might be a better idea to have them join WA as a free member and then they have their own control over the site. That way you can benefit the both of you.
Ken

Thanks Kenny,

That's the intention actually, he wants me to take control of the website, though i'm thinking to let him join WA.

Yes you can but why not refer them to WA instead :-)

Thanks Erol,

I thought about that too. I just had a friend who wanted to have a website for his local business here, and i thought of encouraging him to buy a domain and i will webhost his domain to keep it up and running, The nest step is get him to sign up with WA though he don't have the luxury of time to do the training. Anyway, i will keep that as an option.

Cheers!

Tell him he can buy a domain and then forward and mask that domain to the free website option at WA. That way you can get him to signup easier i think :-)

That's a great Idea! thanks a lot Erol

yw :-)

yes you can just have them use your link all the best

Thanks Maxiam

I will do that

Is there a way to put a google adsense ads in between post? if so, how?

If you're doing affiliate marketing then I wouldn't bother with adsense as well. It detracts people from clicking on your links. You'll earn a lot more if they buy from you than if they click an Adsense ad.

There are various ad manager plugins that allow you to easily insert adsense ads on your site.

Thanks a lot IMc, I will take your advice.

Leonardo,

I see the reason why you would want to do this, however, I would think of it first. Too many sites already place a lot of advertising within their pages and sidebars. Moving the same direction may cause your readers to back out or confuse them. The main reason we blog about things is to inform people of things they are already looking for and cut out the work of having to try them, research, and spend time looking around.

I use to think that adding adsense in the site would be helpful, but after testing several methods, I quickly discovered that my bounce rate jumped over twice as much. What does that mean? Simply people went to my site and left the site quickly without looking at any other page, spending an average of 20 seconds. I had a 39% bounce rate and after adding adsense and other adds my bounce rate jumped to 82%.

I would think about this move, but if you really want to try it, all you have to do is insert the code next to the visual tab in the upper right corner of your writing editor, I believe it is called text or HTML. Once you click the tab, scroll down to the area where you want the add to show and work around it until it looks the way you want it to. I'm not sure if it will work as well as putting it on a footer, sidebar, or header, but normally that is the way to add media or code to the page or post.

Good luck to you and I hope this helps,
Manny

Thanks a lot Manny for your response and wise advise about the use of adsense. Experience is really the best teacher. Though I haven't experienced that yet, tha's why I am curious about placing adsense, at the end of the day, I think will take your advice.

I appreciate your much concern...Cheers!
