Time To Go
I've been an affiliate marketer since 2003, and have been full-time since 2005 (dame!).
It's been 12 years since I joined WA (2012). And it's been fun. I've met great people, and I've learned a lot from some great members, Vitaliy, Eric, Jay, and Partha (no longer here). And yep, even you, too, Kyle - LOL. And hopefully, I've helped a few members along the way.
And I've made a great living as an affiliate (and still do) primarily in the financial niche. I jumped in and out of promoting WA. And I bugged Kyle more times than I can remember. However anytime I reached out for help he was there.
But it's time for me to move on. My membership is done on November 25th.
The reality is I've outgrown the WA. But who knows maybe I'll crash the WA's affiliate conference in Vegas one day. And don't worry Kyle if I do I'll be sure to bring one of my slow-smoked pulled pork sandwiches for you.
Before I go I want to share a piece of advice with you.
When I first started online I was told by my mentor Cory Rudl. Be sure you don't have all your eggs in one basket. Diversify your income!!
Having all your eggs in one basket is a bad thing when it comes to being online. I'm not just an affiliate marketer. I have a diverse income. I have a design company, I have a video production company, I own income properties, and I have shares and investments.
And because of that my overall income has never been harshly affected when there are (is) massive changes online. Thank you, Google - lol.
Unfortunately, I know many people who have (had) one income stream, and when Google made many different updates (with more to come) some of these people's incomes were wiped out or severely reduced. And many of them have still not recovered.
And now I have an even more diverse income. I started a digital marketing agency and I love it. I'm working (helping) local businesses across North America to get more customers and sales through diverse marketing strategies.
I love what I'm doing. Talking to a client and having them thank you for helping them grow their business is so rewarding.
And for all you new members. With the training, support, and all the tools you'll need to build your affiliate marketing business I can say hands down the WA is the best place you can be.
Please, please don't waste the opportunity you have given yourself. Take full advantage of where you are and the people you are surrounded with.
I think some people forget what is at their fingertips in the WA.
It's been fun.
I believe in you!
Leo

Hi Leo,
Good luck with all of your other projects, I know that being online takes up a lot of time and if you have other projects on the go, as I do aswell something has to give in order for you to live.
Google is my arch enemy, I actually wrote a 3000 word article about google, its updates and the way that it treats its customers.
I have come to the conclusion that google doesn't employ anybody on the front line support it sub contacts out to people in different countries that have acquired an online google certification.
Anyway... thats enough about that!
Hope your journey carries on being as good as it started.
Regards
Brian
Thanks, Brian.
Oh, I have nothing good to say about Google. The reality is, as an affiliate marketer you're NOT 100% in control of your business, Google is. Google does not care about you. They can wipe out your business at any time and they have proven that over the years.
Affiliate marketing is a great marketing strategy to start with, but you don't want to live there. You need to move forward with owning your own product(s) to truly have a long-term stable online business. You need to be 100% in control of your business.
Good morning Leo,
I'm sorry to hear that you're leaving Wealthy Affiliate, but you have to do what is right for you. I hope that we may see you again at some point!
I've appreciated all your advice and blog posts and answering some of my questions over the years. You must be one of the longest serving Wealthy Affiliate members; 12 years is good going. I have now been on the platform for 10 years.
I wish you continued success and all the best.
Roy

Hey leo, it has been good to see you here - and sorry you are leaving, but if you have outgrown it then you know you must leave..
our paths may cross in the future, but good luck with your continued online journey....
Hi Leo
Sorry to see you go!
You have done impressively well for yourself! ๐
I diversified my income a long time ago, practicing medicine for 40 years and consulting in biomedical engineering and medical informatics. Over the years, I invested that money, which now provides me with a full-time passive retirement income.
Online marketing in the guitar niche is more like a hobby, but I'm trying to make it profitable, and I agree that WA is a great place to do that! ๐
Best of Luck in All You Do!

From what I've witnessed from you, there is no doubt you're going to knock it out of the park with your guitar business. All the best my friend.

Been a pleasure getting to know you Leo, and I hope this is a see you later, not a good bye. We still need to have our pulled pork potluck (my mouth is watering thinking about).
The past few years have been crazy within the online world, and the internet has evolve drastically since the ubiquity of AI, the decline in some of the SEO elements, and the arrival of all sorts of new opportunities and strategies. One thing that you can be sure of is that we are going to keep on top of all of this change, and the community here is going to buzzing as we move into 2025.
Just some things that we are focused on, that are going to come to light either in December or the first quarter of 2025.
(1) New Training Environments. We have lots of training here, lots of ADVANCED training, and lots of really insightful discussions. They are currently very difficult to find, simply because of a lack of organization and classes, questions, vlogs, blogs..all being in different locations. We are excited to take the training environments here to the next level, and to retain malleable to what is working right now across the board in the online business world.
(2) AI advancements. We are moving forward within the AI space, and we have learned a great deal in the first two years since AI has been rolled out. Some things we did right, some we not as much. But all comes with the learning experience within a new territory. In December we are going to be rolling out our "structured content" approach to content, and this doesn't mean content just for SEO. There is going to be full flexibility in terms of the type of content that one can create, and the templates that they are going to be able to build content from. We are VERY excited about this.
(3) Community advancements. There used to be paid training elements here, and a bigger focus on ambassadorship. We have exciting plans for both of these ideas, and we are going to be rolling these out in the first quarter of 2025. This I feel will be one of our most innovative launches to date, and something we have wanted to put into place for some time. We believe this is going to really kick things into high gear within the community.

Anyways, I digress....as you know we always have lots on the go. All the best Leo, and we hope to see you again soon. Take care, and all the best in your journey as we move into a brand new year ahead. ;)
Thanks, Kyle, and yep this is just a see you later not a good bye.
