Affiliate & Earnings Disclaimer Copy
I have received many emails from people asking about Affiliate & Earnings Disclaimers - mostly where can I find one and do I need them.
To answer the second question first yes you do need them - it's called CYA (Cover Your A$$) - And not only that if you are an affiliate the FTC requires you have it on your site.
And where to find them - well to save you a bunch of headaches I have an Affiliate and Earnings Disclaimer below that you can copy it's from my site - Simply add your salutation to the end. And if needed change or add the word "We" where applicable.
I believe in you!
Leo

I'm of the mind to work smart not hard so anytime I can help people do the same I'm all over it
This is one of the nicest and most generous blogs that I have ever seen. Many. many thanks Leo! Boy, you Canadians are really, really nice! LOL
Thanks for sharing Leo, it's appreciated. I would also just like to add that here in the UK some affiliate co's are requiring that you publish their own "affiliate disclaimers" as well, ie. Amazon's is: "yourdomain.com is a participant in the Amazon EU Associates Programme, an affiliate advertising programme designed to provide a means for sites to earn advertising fees by advertising and linking to Amazon.co.uk." I've also noticed that they have this on their US site as: "yourdomain.com is a participant in the Amazon Services LLC Associates Program, an affiliate advertising program designed to provide a means for sites to earn advertising fees by advertising and linking to Amazon.com." I would therefore always recommend that Members also check the T&C's of any program they join in case any of the programs require additional wording. :) Rich.
Thanks Rich - good additional info - have to make sure you got this stuff on your site so you're covered
I stuck my UK Amazon disclaimer down the bottom in the footer (next to where it says: Theme: xxxxx by xxxxx) - hope this CMA!
Thanks for the information. Where do you put the Disclaimers on your website? Do you have a special page for each one?
I have them on one page - and I have the link simply says Affiliate & Earnings Disclaimer - Go to my site and see how I have it - scroll to the bottom of the side bar - http://www.netwiseprofits.com/

Is there a way to make a category for policies and exemp it from my home page?
You should not exempt it from your homepage you want to make sure everyone can have access to this info on every page.
You can place a link in your side bar or the footer of your site.
If you scroll to the bottom of the side bar of my site you can see how I have it set up - simple and clean http://www.netwiseprofits.com/
Just thought it didn't look as good if it's on the home page. I added the category widget to my side menu.
Ended up making them as pages, and just added them as a custom menu widget.
