I have a confession to make about all this online business stuff
Since joining Wealthy Affiliate, I have greatly increased my knowledge and my interest in online business, and, I have to confess something. This interest has led to "shiny object" syndrome.
In my excitement, I clicked on an ad on Facebook that offered a free webinar about an online business. I signed up for the Webinar, watched it, and got the corresponding e-mail. And then more ads began to surface on Facebook, and I signed up for more webinars. All told, I have probably watched more than a dozen webinars, which led me to sign up for a few programs in addition to Wealthy Affiliate such as Intentional Blogging by Jeff Goins, and Neil Patel's Advanced Marketing program.
Pretty soon, my head was spinning and I quite literally had a head-ache, I was becoming obsessed and staying up late reading about SEO, Google marketing, etc. etc. really wanting to absorb as much as possible. I am enrolled in the Certification Courses here and am currently on Course 4, lesson 7, and in the Affiliate Bootcamp, Course 2, Lesson 2.
there is a bright side to all my wanderings and learning. I have learned that Wealthy Affiliate is really the best place to start, and to stick with it. It's also economical, and has tremendous support. Many of the other programs are either too spendy or perhaps scammy. so I caution everyone to be careful. I have also gained a better appreciation for Kyle and Carson and the entire WA community. I've created several websites, and I'm learning a great deal, wishing that I could devote full time to this, but working at a job too. I think in our culture we sometimes want to move too fast, and I recall a book I read about the concept of mastery. It takes time to learn new skills, and it's important to stick with things.

I'm totally with you. There's so much information out there that might distract and I sometimes feel like wondering myself too. But it's so much better to just stick to one program and see it through, rather than taking many programs simultaneously! Thanks for your confession ;)
Thanks, I am sticking with what I am learning here; the training is excellent. But I did learn a few things just by watching the webinars, and some of it could be useful for writing reviews.
You're absolutely right, Leitah. I've been involved with Empower Network, MLSP, CarbonCopyPro, 5 Minute Moguls and have watched countless webinars from 'Gurus'. The conclusion I've come to is that there is nothing out there that is as good as WA.
You're making great progress through the programme and may you enjoy much well deserved success :-)

Thanks for your encouragement. I agree with you. There are a whole slew of others offering high priced trainings. But I am happy with WA.
Hi , Yes I have explored many online sites offering this and that ...all coming to nothing . I can`t even exactly remember how I stumbled on WA but it is the best thing to happen at present as am thoroughly enjoying myself.... it is `taxing` what small grey matter I have left ! lol.
Thanks, and LOL about the taxing on the grey matter. I feel like I am gulping up information. I love learning it all. But my brain does get a bit tired.

I am a part of Neil Patel's advanced marketing program as well ;) He sure knows how to convert his program!
Though I think his program is too expensive for what you actually get, I have to say that I've really grown my business thanks to his course because it goes beyond affiliate marketing only.
The only problem with being part of different communities and courses is that it's difficult to focus on 1 thing at the time and the information is often contradictory.
Thanks, it's good to meet someone else who is in Neil's program. I do feel it's too expensive too, and I really shouldn't have purchased. But I do think Neil knows his stuff. However, like you said, it's difficult to focus, and I really need to focus.

Shiny object syndrome is definitely a bad habit because I too have the T-shirt lol.
Eventually, it gets to a point of info overload. And when being pulled in various directions, you get stuck.
I'm also in the WA BootCamp :D To be honest, it's all you need for success.... Content, content, and more content.
However, you could use the "shiny objects" for blog reviews. ;)
