Ooh, I love the NEW Google Search Console!
Hi Everyone
I am super duper excited about the new Google Search Console.
Because I can now find out with 2 Clicks what's going on with my Site Indexing.
It turns out most of the pages on my site (Inspiring Mompreneurs) that have not been indexed are not pages at all, but IMAGES.
So now just need to work out how to exclude my images from being submitted for indexing. I think I made a mistake when I used to use Fetch as Google.
Anyone know the quick fix?
Or should I just wait for Jay's Training on the weekend?

I think Jay's training will shed a lot of light on the proper use of the new Google Search Console. I am sure that will help all of us with questions about it. If you view it Live, then you will get the chance to ask any questions you have about it that don't get addressed.

I understand that. Jay usually has the replay up the next day, so it is there when you can be up to watch it.
I'm going through the same thing, what a coincidence! I saw the new google search console and found out the same exact thing, the pages excluded for indexing are images, not posts at all.
I've been receiving emails about this, but haven't had a chance to check it out yet. Looks good!
Thanks, Michael. If Google Search Console can become less of a headache got me that's half the battle won.
I would wait for jay's training, it is happening tonight and you do not want to do anything and have to change it later. Love the new Google Search Console as well.
I wouldn't worry about not indexing images as they can lead to traffic coming to your website also.
I use keywords to name my images so someone searching for a keyword my stumble upon one of my images and visit the website that way.
Its a good SEO strategy.
Hi Tom, Thanks. I also use keywords to name my images. I am sure I didn't in my original images. Do you add your site URL to the names of your images or just the keyword?
