A Rough Month

Hi everybody! I haven't been around much this month, it's been a rough one. First my unemployment benefits are up in the air with all the political debate, so I have been tripling my job search. I was already applying for every and any job I could find and now I am expanding my search to things I am over qualified for and even under qualified in the hopes that something will come along.

Second, my trusty netbook went out on me :( All of my information and pictures are on it. I was unhappy to say the least. Thankfully my parents have faith in me and bought me a laptop.. It's used but so far is working great!

I wish I could say that means I'm back for good. Unfortunately, I may be losing my premium this week. I was using the $47 from my unemployment to invest in myself with Wealthy Affiliate. Without that money coming in we have to pay our bills first. My fiance makes decent money but I am not sure we will be able to afford my continuing here without me finding a new job or unemployment extensions being reinstated.

I am praying I will find a solution so I can get back to work on my sites and finish the bootcamp training.

If I am away for a while I want my WA fam to know I have loved being a part of this community. I have learned so much from so many of you! And I will try not to stay away too long.

Much luck and success to everyone. Hopefully I will find a solution or I will see you all soon.

Stacy, thanks for sharing your story. Will pray for you. Things happen in life for a reason. Take care. Debbie

Stacy, hang in there. I emailed all the congresspersons/reps I could (especially if they were Republicans) to support at least a short extension of the UI (since we all did pay into it!). I am in the same boat. It stinks. I know. We had our electricity shut off (for a few minutes until we were able to get a caring person to help) and one of our cars we had to turn in (as the payments were too high). So, things make you aim at the important stuff, but it is still not easy. Family first. Pray and things will work out for the best. It may not seem like it, but it is for a reason. :) I am there with you and hope you are okay.

Thank you! I really hope they do at least a short extension. It's like they don't care what people are going through. I will be praying and will keep you in my prayers as well. It's all bound to get better.

Hi Stacy, times can be difficult sometimes, but there is always a solution. I wish you all the best
John

Hang in there…all will work itself out….

Praying for you. Sometimes things get bad before they get better. Keep a positive outlook and working hard and I'm sure things will work out for you in the end.

Hang in there. I hope things get settled down for you soon.
I'm sending good wishes and prayers your way. :)

Thanks Jenna!

Oh Stacy - I really am sorry - that's tough. Do remember that if by any chance you lose your premium membership do make sure that you pack up your site and move it to other hosting. I hope you will come back and soon. :) Beverley

Thanks Beverley. Fingers crossed I can find a way to get it paid and won't have to move. I don't know how much hosting costs elsewhere but I assume I won't get as much value from anywhere else as I do here. I guess I'll have to do some just in case research.

I understand. My line of work is feast to famine. You are being real here.

I wanted to advise you of a thing Google has started evidently called Google helpouts. I have only briefly looked at it but intend to look at it further.

You evidently put up something similar to an ad with a skill or skills you possess that you can advise people with. You charge them a small fee for a small time block. Evidently something like $20-$40 for something in the neighborhood of 30 minutes. The charge rate and time blocks will vary of course.

I am only trying to help and this may or may not help you. I just wondered if you were aware of it.

I also wondered if you are aware of auctionzip.com. I talked to a local store owner recently who told me about it. I have been to that site but haven't pursued it because I have had long days and been trying to focus on WA when I get online.

You are supposed to be able to find local auctions in your area and find good products to sell on ebay or other auction sites. I plan to do this myself and may be able to start next weekend. This should help provide seed money for other things.

I think you will agree that multiple sources of income need to be developed. You hang in there. Even if you have to leave WA for a short period, come back and get your affiliate marketing training and use it. Stay focused on where you want to be. Don't focus on where you are.

Scott

Those are some great ideas Scott and I will look into them. Thank you for sharing with me.

Wishing you the best of luck in the job search. Everything will work out for the best, and hope to see you back soon.

Thank you. I am hoping I won't have to leave at all. But if I do I will definitely be back as quick as I can :)

I understand what you are going through as I did the same thing about 6 years ago. What I learned is that everything happens for a reason and in hind site now I am so thankful for the tough times I went through. All the best for you and your family.

I feel the same way, everything happens for a reason. I know that this struggle will just make me stronger and more determined to achieve my goals.
