Article Writing Strategy
I'll try to make this post shorter than usual. Here goes.
This is a suggestion that I'm making to myself because of some things I've been learning lately about social marketing. I'm going to pass this suggestion on to you as well. It's a way to streamline writing and marketing.
When using twitter, facebook, and other social market places I link back to my articles. This is easy.
As part of that strategy - I examine my articles and try to find 10 or so sentences that I can convert into Quotes.
Quotes are catchy phrases that provide VALUE to an audience
This is a key element - providing value ! The problem is - as I look back over my articles I discover that I have more fluff than I should have.
Also, I don't want to convert material in my article to quotes. I should be driving my article with quotes.
Begin your article by pre-establishing 5 to 10 quotes that drive the flow of your article and that might be viewed as valuable quotes by themselves if shared on a social network.
If you create quotes up front that might be 120 characters long - these can be your sub-headlines. Then all you have to do is write 100 or so supporting words for each one.
If you have 5 good quotes (sub-headlines) of VALUE - and 100 supporting words each, you now have a 500 word article polished and ready to deliver along with 5 healthy sharable links for each article.
Instead of sharing your article one time - share it 5 times - once for each of the quality sub-headlines you wrote.
Get it? Don't just write your article and share it. Craft your article and share it multiple times. Get some mileage out of it.

The essential key, from my perspective, Kyle, is knowing your audience and REACHING them where they are...then leading them to here you want them to be on your website.
That is a good way to craft up some content Kyle, I think that you have hit the nail on the head and driven it home we all need to think in terms of managing our content and trying to get as many miles as we can out of it and even then rehash it to get those extra miles. thank you for sharing your technique some food for thought.

I think I'll make my next article about Social Media. I think this is an underlying area of deficiency in most people's marketing strategies and it is probably driven by not understanding how social actually functions in the big picture.
