What Niche Do You Want Achieve Success In?

I posed this question on Facebook the other day, asking this...

"If you could build a business around ANY passion, interest, or hobby....What would that be? "

The response was actually quite amazing. People shared their interests about just about everything, from gold, to drawing, to bonsai trees, to dogs, to sleeping, to simply helping others.

This to me says, everyone has a dream path they want to take, but very few have the "know how" to make that happen. The reality is that affiliate marketing can serve as a gateway into any on of these industries and there is a TON of opportunity with each of these.

Let's have a look at the ones I outlined above and how "affiliate marketing" can be a viable (and significant) opportunity in each of them.

1. Gold

  • Commission Range: 1% to 3% for physical gold; $20 to $200 for investment platforms.
  • Audience Size: Estimated in the millions globally, considering investors and enthusiasts.
  • Products/Services to Promote: Gold coins, bars, IRAs, investment platforms.
  • Brands: BullionVault, GoldBroker, Augusta Precious Metals.

2. Drawing

  • Commission Range: 5% to 20%.
  • Audience Size: Tens of millions worldwide, including hobbyists, students, and professionals.
  • Products/Services to Promote: Online courses, digital tablets, art supplies, software.
  • Brands: Blick Art Materials, Adobe, Wacom, Skillshare.

3. Bonsai Trees

  • Commission Range: 10% to 20%.
  • Audience Size: Hundreds of thousands to a few million enthusiasts and hobbyists globally.
  • Products/Services to Promote: Bonsai trees, care guides, tools, soil, pots.
  • Brands: Bonsai Boy, Eastern Leaf, Brussels Bonsai.

4. Dogs

  • Commission Range: 5% to 15%.
  • Audience Size: Over 100 million dog owners in the U.S. alone, with a global audience in the hundreds of millions.
  • Products/Services to Promote: Food, toys, beds, insurance, training.
  • Brands: Chewy, Petco, Petsmart, BarkBox, Embrace Pet Insurance.

5. Sleeping

  • Commission Range: 5% to 20%.
  • Audience Size: Potentially billions globally, considering those interested in improving sleep quality.
  • Products/Services to Promote: Mattresses, pillows, trackers, supplements, courses.
  • Brands: Purple, Casper, Sleep Number, Fitbit, Calm.

This is just brushing the surface as well. There are over 550 MILLION products and services, across any passion, interest or hobby...that you can promote as an affiliate marketer.

If you take ONE hypothetical affiliate commission (on the average side of things) of $50, it only takes a few sales per day to get to the $100,000 per year mark. If you can refer 6 people per day, to brands that you are passionate about (and that they already want to buy) you are looking at $108,000 per year.

6 x $50 x 365 = $109,500 per year

There has never been a better time to get your butt online, and start thriving within a niche that you are passionate about. Millions of potential customers (and subsequent affiliate commissions) await.

What is your PURE passion that you would love to build a full-time business around? Are you currently building a business out within that niche? I would love to hear about it. ;)

I have another question about niche and SEO. I have been using Jaxxy and looking for long-tail keywords in my niche. I have a newsletter on another platform about making passive income online. I know it's an oversaturated niche, but it’s still what I know and want to do. At least one “guru” told me to I’m wasting my time. I would love to prove him wrong! I guess my question is what advice you and other experts in this group have for monetization and growing subscribers.

In my opinion, newsletters, YouTube, and social media are the best ways to monetize your website.

You are not wasting your time in any niche, you can be an authority in the "passive income" niche, and there are many audiences in that space, and millions of people that are seeking that every day.

So it is all about connecting with that audience, solving problems (and speaking to them), and then making product/service recommendations. :)

Wealthy Affiliate is an affiliate program that you could certainly take advantage of in that niche. ;)

I never really imagined all the possible niches to promote until I joined WA. I am currently promoting a niche for raising backyard chickens. This is a subject that I love and I have quite a bit of experience with. It is not a money maker yet, but I think it will be once I can determine the best way to promote it. I did start a new niche recently and I have just started building my website. I think it will have a good chance of suceeding,

We are only limited by our imagination.

I believe both Cal-Ranch and Tractor Supply Company have affiliate programs and you can always sell display ads on your site. The chickens sounds like a good low competition niche.

I know about Tractor Supply, but I am unfamiliar with Cal-Ranch. I will check into it. You would be surprised at the competition for raising chickens. However, it is limited to a few giant sites. It has grown over the years, but it is not a huge money maker. I make a little off it, but this is more of a passion. My new niche is something with more monetization opportunities.

Whatever the passion leads you in the best niche to take in, as you definitely won’t stop talking about it, and the more you discuss about it, the more you uncover more things about it.

There are endless niche worth pursuing, I wish I have more time!

Cheers,
Maria 🌹

Absolutely Maria, a niche that you are passionate about or interested in leads to a desire to learn more about that niche (which leads to a lot of expertise and authority), the desire to talk about your niche, and the desire to help others within your niche.

There are literally millions of niches out there, and as you said there are too much niches (and opportunities), and not enough time! :)

I would build mine around diy. I've been a diy since I was a boy we would make our own toys like trucks and boats, we would make carts in the summer and our sleds in the winder we also built camps in the woods After I build my own house and some furniture. I did my own painting etc I could go on.

DIY Toys would be an awesome niche, good collectors value in hand made items and everything from wood glue to power tools for salable items.

My Grandfather was a ship builder he had his own shipyard he built two mast schooners from about 65 ft to about 125 feet . he built many of his own tools from hand planes to a full size sawmill where he sawed timbers and planking for the schooners.

My number one passion is writing, and I'm passionate about writing poems, stories for children, creative endeavors, skincare, the ocean, for example.

It's interesting that the thing I found myself doing for the past 18 years and have tried so hard to get out of is the one thing I feel drawn to focus on more than ever.

Caring for the elderly has its clutches on me allowing me to demonstrate a compassionate and nurturing heart. This is where I believe the need is greatest out of everything I do.

As a result, I have been focusing more on this as a niche to continue making a difference even after I'm no longer physically helping this community.

I have been writing articles and poems on this subject on several websites. I now have my official hub niche website addressing home health care for the elderly.

It's an eyeopener, knowing that there is a reason for the years of service and the continuation through affiliate marketing without the physical challenges that come with it.

Veron

Excellent niche with a growing need for more professionals in the field. The best part is there are many aides and supplies affiliate programs and you can make decent money on Pay Per Click Display ads in this field as well.

Hi Andy:

Thank you for your feedback. I'm happy I finally decided to make this a niche for affiliate marketing. My website is new, but I've been spending a lot of time on it. I'm excited to see how it will grow and make a positive impact on the community.
