Wealthy Affiliate Homepage Update, More Clarity!
Hey folks,
We have just released the latest version of the WA homepage, you won't notice any apparent changes at top of the page, but if you scroll down you will notice that there is an entirely new design for the "niche" section and how building a business online works.
Below is a screenshot outlining what I am referring to.
You will see the new graphics for the 4 Steps:
- Choose an Interest
- Build a Website
- Attract Visitors
- Earn Revenue
And as you scroll down the page, these images will minimize and lock to the header so a user on the page can quickly navigate between the steps (as shown below).
Prior to this update, we had 5 different niches at the top that people could view. We felt this was incredibly overwhelming and since the content was so similar from one niche to the next, there was a lot of redundancy. This was leading to boredom and in many cases confusion (time on page dropped as a result of giving people too many options).
The new homepage is much more clear and we have also taken a broad approach showcasing many different directions that one could take online. As you and I know, there are literally MILLIONS of niches out there so there is no way we could do an effective job covering these, in particular if by providing specific niche examples.
On the new page as you will see much more in the way of stats, graphs, and notable brands that people can leverage as affiliate marketers online (see below).
Anyone can relate to at least a few of these brands (which all have affiliate programs) and they will strike a chord with most folks, offering a wide range of interest.
We have also integrated a way in which people can join.
This has only been out for 3 hours now, but the results are very promising and the homepage is already converting at a higher rate than normal.
We are on a mission to create CLARITY around the affiliate marketing space and how to properly build a business online and as a result we are going to be maximizing conversions for affiliates.

Yeah, that is the homepage of Wealthy Affiliate. Your raw affiliate link will take people there where they can join directly from that page (or they can navigate the site to learn more about our service here).

The home page is beautiful, I love the colors a lot. I think it's the best one since I joined in September 2015. I wouldn't have what to say regarding that.

Looks awesome, Kyle! I think this is a great update to the homepage...much more easy to understand than before, in my opinion. Great work on the design!

Thanks Sherry, based on the feedback the last version with 5 different niche breakdowns was not all that effective and I feel it was far too overwhelming (which is why it didn't perform as well as it could).
We will keep everyone updated on this one as we have more data, but all initial signs indicate it is performing much better.
