If you are not online, you are not in the right place. That is a phrase you are going to be hearing more and more out of me as time goes on, and of course running Wealthy Affiliate for close to 20 years now I am an obvious advocate for the online world.

Today, I want to share a simple truth to make my point and help you fully understand how the game has changed. Even if you admire TV legends, the online world offers rewards that traditional industries simply cannot match, and moving forward, won't be able to.

Take Harvey Specter (Gabriel Macht) from Suits.

In his prime, he made only $2.5MM per year. I say "only" because, even as part of one of the biggest series, his income was capped by old industry rules.

Now, consider online earners. Look at Andrei Jikh – a YouTuber with 2.5 million followers who is making north of the top Suits actor between Youtube monetization revenue and brand deals. Andrei built a business by sharing his voice, and his authenticity. He may not be a household name, and prior to me writing this, I personally had never heard of him.

Andrei JikhThis proves my point though. Being online, and being authentic is a winning formula and ANYONE can do it.

The NEW and fast evolving online world, powered by new technology and AI, is rewriting the rules. Every day, ordinary people are creating extraordinary success stories by reaching a global audience...many of them here within WA.

Here are a few steps to help you get started:

  1. Get Online: The internet is where all the action is. You have done this, simply by being part of the community here at Wealthy Affiliate.
  2. Learn the Ropes: Great trained on how to properly build your online presence in this NEW world. You have access to all the experts you could ever need here at WA, from Youtubers to Facebookers to SEO'ers to PPC'ers to Email Marketers.
  3. Take Action: Start now. Do something productive today. Every day you wait is an opportunity missed.
  4. Engage: Engage with your audience, and do so with authenticity.

I know you have big goals and the drive to achieve them. The traditional ways of earning "offline" are giving way to a whole new world, where the biggest faces online are controlling the narrative, and reaping the rewards financially as well. .

I would love to hear your thoughts and experiences in the comments below. Are you going to take the online world by the reigns and build something of substance?

Kyle, it took major adversity for me to discover the real potential and endless possibilities of being online - not just for earnings but also for authenticity, growth and networking.

I keep sharing that I was down, disillusioned and broken when I stumbled on WA while searching the internet for coffee one Sunday evening.
Nothing happens by chance.

Here, I found one of the most motivating, learned and supportive communities ever.
I mean, who works in a global company with thousands of people and gets to talk with the owner/CEO every day?!
A CEO/owner who is seriously committed to seeing you succeed?!

And, a global community that "has your back"?!?

My success in WA is not only financial.
It is way more than material value.

Thank you. 🙂

Well we are really glad you found WA Cassi, and that you decided to make that leap 6 years ago. It has been an absolutely pleasure to work with you and see you embrace this vast internet opportunity, and evolve with it!

Like you, I view success in many ways. On one hand, there are the financial benefits, but there are the immaterial things that make you happy, that lead to fulfilment, and that lead to community. Things that often times mean even more than the money part (though that is there), and are all a big part of being successful.

Rich and unhappy is not where anyone wants to be. Successful, well rounded is where the internet can take us all!

Very well summarized, Kyle.
I could not agree more.

Thank you for all of your support.

Kyle, this post really hit home for me as someone just starting out on WA. I’ve just completed Phase 1 Training and I’m exploring the Free tier to understand the platform better—and this message gave me a huge boost of clarity and motivation.

The comparison between Harvey Specter and YouTube creators was eye-opening. It reminded me that I don’t need to be famous or perfect—I just need to be consistent, curious, and authentic. Thanks for laying out the steps so clearly and for showing that the online world isn’t just for experts—it’s for learners like me too.

Appreciate your leadership and the way you keep the community inspired. 🙌🔥

Hey Kyle,

Harvey Specter might be the best closer in TV history, but in the real world, the game has changed. The fact that a YouTuber can out-earn a top TV star just by being online proves how much opportunity there is.

Getting online, learning, and taking action—those steps make all the difference. The internet isn’t just the future, it’s the now. Let’s build something great here at WA!

Best,
Boris

Yeah, I really loved that show...as they seasons dragged on it got a little less interesting, but still a real classic that I recommend to anyone.

The internet is the past 20 years, it is the now, and it is the future. It will shift around in terms of where the opportunity lies, but the opportunity within the online world only continues to grow. ;)

Hi Kyle!

Indeed, online is the place to be! There are so much opportunities online: we can shop, network, connect, work, make money, and learn, just to name a few things that we do online.

The experience is like leaving earth and travelling to another planet. People want to be online as much as they can whether they want to be entertained in one form or another or just to escape from the monotony of their lives.

However, we must use our time online for wisely to benefit ourselves and others; if we do otherwise, we are just wasting our time online.

With all the tools, help and support here at WA , there is no other place online that I will rather be. Here, we are able to build online businesses and reap all the benefits of being online once we lead with authenticity.

Thanks for all you and your team do every day to make our online experience here at WA nothing short of amazing!

Thanks for the motivation! Wishing you the very best!

Kind regards,
Nichola

Absolutely, we are addicted to being online...or for a better word, many of us know no different. We get our entertainment there, we shop there, we communicate there, we create there, we go there when we are bored.

All of this combined, just creates more and more pockets of opportunity and ones that are only continuing to grow (and of course) evolve as time goes on. ;)

Here I sit in another hotel room as I have a very early flight tomorrow back home as our worksite was 2 hours from here.
I've just recorded two more videos to upload to Amazon to join my collection of Amazon products on my Amazon Storefront. And, I'm able to respond to your online post, as well.
That's two more micro-steps towards my goal thanks to the online world.
Cheers! 🍺

Amazing Les, and this is what the internet world looks like, and running an online business. This is me when I travel, and I don't think anything of it as that is something that being online allows us to do.

A brilliant world we live in!

Absolutely, Kyle. Haha! I was getting my oil changed at Ford Monday and saw another product to add to my list of videos while having both my work and home laptop setup ready to respond.

“Your niche will determine your online strategy.”

It’s been 9 months since launching my guitar site. I finally realized a couple of months ago that this audience isn’t reading blogs, they’re all watching YouTube. Instagram works well for exposure too but YT is where it’s at.

So now, I’m in the process of creating a YT channel to meet up with my audience. 🤘🏼

Go where the audience is. They are consuming video, and with your online blog content, you could integrate videos as well. That is great to hear Steve, and I think you are going to be really happy you are making this natural transition. :)

Just noticed 33.000 people subribed to one of my sites (not spam) .... panic mode... with the numbers growing, it is hard to coop manually... some tricks? 🏃🏼‍♀️‍➡️🏃🏼‍♀️‍➡️🏃🏼‍♀️‍➡️🏃🏼‍♀️‍➡️🏃🏼‍♀️‍➡️🚀

Hey Fleeky, set up automated systems. A live chat powered by AI is a great start. Then you or someone you appoint can jump in while the AI is chatting to a visitor and take over the reins if needed. And set up more automation to help you handle things. Live chat helps answer questions and bring them closer to your desired CTA.

How and why did you get so many subscribers? It seems a bit suspicious unless you hit the jackpot with some keywords or they are redirected from another SM platform you own. If they are subscribed to your email list, ensure you have one or two weekly emails but don't sell in every email. Use the 70/20/10 method.

1) High-quality valuable info - 70%
2) Free solutions, answers, and needs met - 20%
3) Sales pitch with a strong CTA - 10%

Dear Hein
Thank you so much!

PS
Am in an existencial crisis now.... 😳

Thanks Kyle,

With all your training here and Vitaly's daily help with Facebook and Pinterest, I am getting more and more visitors everyday. I post daily on these formats and it has really helped.

I have a YouTube channel and even though I only have 29 followers, I get about one a day now.

I appreciate all the help you and your staff have given us. I am not successful yet but I have learned from my window washing business and my handmade business that one of the main keys is to NEVER give up.
