That is what it is all about, not just to see value as "eventual output" like making money. If we thought of that only being the only value, then educate would carry no value, services and software would serve no value.
We are shortcutting the education time here, offering industry leading education, and speeding up the pace at which someone can create a business online through technology.

There is no doubt that WA has a lot to offer at a sincere reasonable price.
And the product is terrific.
Now in the case of ROI ( and I take note of your doctor spending 300.000 USD for his education and missing 1 000 000 USD revenue ) I come to simular calculations.
I spend 25 hours a week say 100 hours a month on learning and writing websites without any revenue. Take that at a very reasonable 15 USD / hr means that next to the 700 USD Yearly my investment is an additional 1500 USD Monthly.
So I have to recover 18700 USD yearly with earnings out of my business with WA.
BUT being an aspirant 'entrepreneur' this is of course a choice made by free will.
I am sceptical this return will come from commissions on some products as an affiliate only, without any further investments in advertising.
However I am confident in the value of your product i.c. software + education + training + support that can indeed be sold to many people thinking of starting an online business or existing companies putting more attention to their online marketing.
Moreover I believe that some of my 'publications' from my WA websites can serve as references in offering my writing kills to third parties, or be a 'consultant' or business developer for some industries in my niche, which of course brings additional revenue.
The Jackpot is in creating a 'consumer' product ( like e-book, e-magazine f.e. ) that 'hits' the market and generates by consequence a royal revenue.
So it is all in the concept and what you make out of it.
Yeah, there is time involved in the education and creation of anything. But that time was spent obtaining skills here and building the foundation for something that could quite easily pay the $18K, and much more as you move forward. I have learned things over the years that have lead to $100,000's in income, singular things.
The same calculation could be applied to education as well, you go to school and spend $300K to become a doctor. But those hourly wages you are missing on those long nights where you are burning the midnight oil. So it is the same thing.
The problem is when people start translating their "time to hourly wage" in business. It simply doesn't work like that, the time and energy you invest now pays off later in business (versus working for someone else, when you get paid a few week from now for your efforts).

The idea is not starting to translate time to hour wage.
I just want to point out that time is also an investment and every individual can make his own decisions ... work by the hour or put time in study and start up a business. At the end you hope of course that you come to simular or better income taken on top that you have your freedom.
If you start with premium you are paying for training, web hosting, support, website cyber security , and more for less than a coffee a day.
It is easy to make back the outlay and each of us do it differently. My gig is teacher placement which I fell into while building my ESL website.
I now want to build out my affiliate site and am getting people onboard but at this stage not upgrading.
I have recently included adding YouTube videos ( my own) to this and while still waiting for these upgrades I feel confident it will happen.
I want each of my sites to make a standalone “ salary replacement “

All you have written is true if one is open-minded. I'm not serving as a mouthpiece for WA; it's just my conviction.
We all need money, especially after investing in a project. i.e., WA in this case.
However, the intrinsic value that WA offers, especially for all levels of premium members, surpasses the actual and initial capital investment.
In my humble opinion, the invaluable knowledge and skillset imparted and offered by dedicated expat class teachers, professionals, and even the community on becoming a successful online entrepreneur is priceless.
In addition to having a platform to build a business, 24/7 tech support, a sense of fulfillment, and the building of valuable relationships with other members of the platform that could lead to great business and personal benefits now or in the future are things that should be cherished. The additional benefits of affiliate sales, including attending the super affiliate conference (after meeting the sales target), etc., sound nice and enticing to me.
However, the sole aim of every investor is to make a profit, which is understandable. I've not made a cent on WA, but I have this strong conviction that, with hard work and following the steps of those who have been successful on WA, when the profit comes (little by little), it's going to be a continuous process. As they say, tiny drops of rain make an ocean.
We are building a long-lasting business model online, which I believe should be the priority. By creating value, which would attract the ROI (return on investment) and improve the financial situations most of us came here for,.
I stand to be corrected, though; this is just my opinion. I wrote this from the prism of my view of WA.
Every thing we invest in, has to lead to an output that is worth the value of what we invest in that very thing. Whether that is profit for some, whether that is community, whether that is feeling good, whether that is solving a problem...it varies from thing to thing that we purchase.
The one thing I see though is that people view starting a business differently than they do any other type of investment. They don't take into consideration the value of the many things they are learning, the services they are getting, the ongoing education, the relationships...the only chalk up success as making money within their first month when there is intrinsic value in so many other places.
Sure, we are all after a profit, but if that is the basis of every investment at the outset and it is on a "short window) timeline, it is going to happen with less likelihod.
We all know there is a ton of opportunity online...there are 5.5 BILLION people, 100's of millions of products we can earn commissions on, 101 ways to get traffic and get in front of these people and many ways you can earn money. That will always be a constant. But sometimes it is about perspective, the true value of what we are getting, what we are achieving and how these things translate into our future. And yes, our future financial gains. :)

Interesting. I just checked. My cyber blog, which I started when I joined WA almost exactly a year ago has had 288 clicks and now averaging 3-4 clicks a day, So I will get to an average of 2 clicks a day in about 6 months at this rate (but it will get faster).
And I have a second blog that is slowly getting traction.
I have also made over $100 as an Amazon Affiliate since January on a third niche on YouTube traffic.
Failure? Not at all. For lots of reasons, I can't work full time. Not even part time. Family health issues make it more important to learn than worry about making money at the moment. But it is slowly gaining traction.
This is a journey, everybody has their own path to success,

This is a journey, and there are many "forms" of success. Sure, financial output is one of these, but that is not the only "value" that someone is getting personally, from a network perspective, and from an education/skill set side of things.
