Beer With Kyle: Hub Updates, No More Ticking Time Bomb & More.
Hey Everyone,
I hope you’ve had an awesome week. For some of you, it might already be Saturday or later in the weekend, but whenever you're watching, I’m excited to share some weekly tech updates with you.
This includes some updates to the Hub environment, removal of our "countdown" timer, updates coming to our AI author platform, and a few other important changes.
Key Takeaways:
- Removed Time Sensitivity on Bonuses: We've removed the timer on the bonus offer for new members to create a more relaxed and inviting experience.
- Reorganized Hub Tasks: A new "Share and Earn" step has been added to help members quickly get involved with affiliate marketing and start earning.
- Updated Training Module Layout: Comments are now accessible on the right side of the training video, improving the ability to get help and engage with the content in real-time.
- Enhanced Content Design in the Works: We’re working on integrating better design elements and structure directly into the content, aiming to minimize post-creation edits.
I’d love to hear your feedback on these updates. What do you think about removing the timer for new members? How do you feel about the direction we’re heading with content design and the new features we’re planning? Your feedback is of course is always so valuable to us as we continue to improve, and advance the platform here at Wealthy Affiliate to best suit you.

I think eliminating the timer is a good move.
There have been many times in the past that a particular countdown didn't line up with when I was getting paid, so I moved on and, as you stated, just never went back. Had there not been a deadline, I most certainly would have signed up and just made a purchase when the time came.
And, for what it's worth, as you might remember, I signed up with WA almost immediately after I got my free account, primarily because I saw the quality of the site and community. I could see the value... to be honest, the timer had nothing to do with it.
I like all the updates I'm seeing, particularly in the area of writing (one of my biggest passions!) Keep up the good work, sir :-)
Hi Kyle,
I like the idea of removing the timer. There's a lot of pressure in learning a new platform and removal of the timer takes away one more pressure point.
Updates to the writer section look good and as usual I'll be in there testing it out - :))
Affiliate link - I still have that issue with Wealthy Affiliate link that I mentioned to you and since the latest update it is worse. Do you want me to put that through to support?
I give it two thumbs up on all of it. I could leave a long answer, but I'm bone tired. :-) I like the idea of testing a no-timer; I think that will make a difference. There is probably a good proportion of people who WILL do it under FOMO and will click on it with the timer, and there are those who WILL NOT because they feel pressured. I used to get into the FOMO until I read up on it and did a series of posts in the psychology of AM; now I'm like, NAH, I'm good, lol; I'm not getting pressured into things anymore. I am interested in seeing how the test comes out. I also like the side comments, I think that is an awesome update, as I have said before. 👍👍
No worries on the long answer, your feedback is always valued. And you are right, I know it works on some people, but for others, it doesn't work at all and actually leads to them leaving.
So we would rather allow the most people to use our service, to decide they like it, and to upgrade at ideally a higher rate because they haven't had the time sensitivity and the pressures that come with that. Time will tell on that. ;)
Glad you like the other updates as well!
Once again, Kyle, you guys have come up with some great updates. I like the idea of removing the timer because it seems too pushy, and many people may not be able to make a decision in such a short amount of time. I love the changes to the content design. These changes are going to be very helpful.
Thanks again for all you do.
Nancy
Thanks for your feedback Nancy, we felt it may be a bit pushy being the very first thing people see when they arrive into the platform. We just don't want to alienate the audience that views it as being pushy. :)

Another great update, Kyle! I think the changes you guys are making are helpful.
Good idea to remove the timer. Since many people come here having had experiences with less-than-stellar programs, it's good not to feel pressured, distracted, or annoyed with a timer.
Comments on the right or below content work for me. I have always appreciated the helpfulness of the WA Team and community. :)
Moving the Share & Earn section closer to the beginning of the training should work well for more engagement.
I look forward to checking out the new content enhancements as they're available.
Thanks again for all that you guys continue to do!!! :)
