Happy Friday and happy Fourth of July to all of our American friends!
I’m actually down in the U.S. right now on vacation, probably why my surroundings look a bit different today. I’m outside, wearing sunglasses, and just stepped off the beach to do this Beer with Kyle. ;)
Before we get into things, let’s talk beer.
This week I’m having Kirkland Helles-style lager. This is Costco’s house brand beer, which is kind of a novelty for us Canadians because our Costcos don’t sell alcohol like they do down here. This beer is actually brewed in partnership with Deschutes — one of the better breweries out there. It’s a light beer at around 4.5% ABV, and I’ve had a few on this trip. I can tell you, it’s pretty nice for a lighter beer. If you’re at a Costco in the U.S., I’d recommend giving it a try.
