Hey Everyone,

I AM BACK! I took a short break for a family vacation in Mexico, a refreshing escape from the rainy northwest and west coast of Canada. I missed everyone over the past few weeks, and sorry for vanishing for a few weeks.

Anyways, I am back. This week I want to discuss how AI is really useful for optimizing your life, and how I am currently using it to optimize my health. I know many of you are patiently awaiting updates on our "NEW WA", and I am going to be touching on those next week.

Before I get into this week's AI optimization discussion, let's check out the beer I showcased:

Beer Highlight of the Week

I also featured a can of Parallel 49's West Coast IPA, "Sluggo." I took a moment to appreciate the beer in my new glass (and yes, I am thinking about switching up my usual Wealthy Affiliate mug). The beer is clean, hoppy, and quite enjoyable. A true test for a West Coast IPA fan.

How I Am Optimizing Life with AI...

In this week's Beer With Kyle, I outline how I am experimenting with using AI to track my daily health and fitness routine.

Here are the key takeaways:

  • Calorie Tracking Made Simple:
I replaced my old calorie-tracking app with ChatGPT. By feeding it details about my meals and exercises, it calculates my calorie intake and burn. This approach helps me keep a close eye on my diet without the constant push for upgrades from an app.
  • Personalized Health Goals:
I shared my current weight, set a goal to lose twenty-five pounds, and aimed for a steady loss of at least two pounds per week. ChatGPT considers my daily activities. From a typical breakfast of peasant bread, butter, and eggs to more varied meals...and adjusts its recommendations as needed.
  • Exercise & Activity Logging:
Whether it's a quick walk or a 30-minute session of basketball and soccer with my daughter, I log my exercise to see how many calories are burned. This daily log helps maintain a clear balance between calories in and calories out.
  • All-in-One Assistant:
Beyond tracking calories, ChatGPT serves as my personal nutritionist, chef, and trainer. It even suggests recipes based on what I have in my kitchen and creates workout plans tailored to my goals.

Final Thoughts

Leveraging AI in my daily routine has been a game changer. It not only helps me stay on top of my health but also frees up time and energy for other parts of my life. The efficiency it brings is unmatched, making everyday tasks simpler and more effective.

Have a great weekend ahead. I look forward to sharing more updates on the new UX next week!

Glad to have you back, Kyle!

Sounds like you had a nice rest :)

Mexico sounds fun. I went when I was 18 with some of my parent's friends and their niece, who was only 8 years older than me. She is still a great friend to whom I have always looked up to. She inspires a lot of my art, clothes, and interior design.

We had fun together in Mexico!

Teri

Awesome. I have been many times, to both the Puerto Vallarta side (west) and the Cancun/Mayan side (east). It's beautiful down there, and the people are wonderful. :)

Good morning Kyle,

I'm glad you were able to take a break, it's a good thing to do and to spend time with your family, especially for someone like yourself who works very hard.

It's interesting how you are utilising AI everything, Kyle, I'm going to have a look at what you are doing regarding diet, etc I'm around 224 pounds and six-foot tall. According to the BBC BMI and obesity calculator, I am obese, I guess that means fat! According to the BBC calculator, a mid-range healthy weight for me would be 11 stone, so I need to lose five stone and become a stick insect!!

Having said the above, I do think it's very important to keep fit and be a sensible weight and take regular exercise. It's great you go to the gym regularly, it's something that I have never done, but I may need to when I have sold my off-line business which helps to keep me semi-fit.

Have a great day and thank you for the post.

Roy

Yeah, many people at 230 would be obese. At 205 I have very little body fat, it really just depends on body type. Lots of people don't carry a lot of weight in their legs, and have different builds.

I have never been fixated on the numbers, more how I feel and look. AI can definitely keep me in line though as it serves not only as my calculator to keep me in check, it adds a level of accountability (which is what all these apps do).

And you don't have to go to the gym, as long as you are keeping your body moving you are doing great. :)

Good morning Kyle,

I don't fully understand the stats for body type's, etc, but I hear you, we all have different builds. I have a little bit of weight that I would like to lose on the tummy area! I do eat properly, but probably need to reduce my food intake a bit.

Accountability is always good. I've always found that numbers never quite add up when it comes to these type of things, Kyle. Although I am overweight, I'm reasonably muscular, which comes from physical work rather than working out. As I get older, I really want to try and keep that fitness for as long as possible, hence the need to probably lose a good stone, which I believe would be beneficial.

The good thing is I like walking and physical exercise and being active. I'm not sure what would happen if I was working full-time online!

Thank you for the interesting conversation, I'm talking about something I don't know that much about.

A very happy Monday to you.

Roy

Hi Roy,
Good to hear your story! In my experience, another important factor is AGE. Since I have entered the 55+ category, which I like better than calling myself senior as I look 35 :) my metabolism has slowed down and I don't burn calories as quickly as before, so in order to lose and MAINTAIN a slim body, I needed some extra help because a healthy diet and exercise didn't cut it for me. And AI + holistic medicine, Kyle is right in how much AI helps in health, gave me the tools to uncover that hormones play an incredibly important role, we need to balance them and in my case I chose the natural way to do it, a natural counterpart of ozempic that targets stubborn fat, esp visceral one. You guys develop a beer belly, we women look pregnant again :) Not good in either case, but there IS a solution!
You need to balance your hormones and your metabolism will work like on steroids but without the risky side effects of medications. Go for it, my friend! :)

Welcome back, Kyle. We all need a break in our daily and weekly routines. It sounds like you and your loved ones had an enjoyable time on your cruise.

Absolutely, a break is always good for a reset. While I was still very much connected during my trip away, it wasn't the same level. And being distracted and letting the mind rest, always leads to new creative ideas.

Ya, Hanz and Franz are glad you are increasing ze pumpitude! 🤣

Bahah, I am going to pump YOU up!

We all need a break in order to get away from things and to reset Kyle!!

Hope you all enjoyed a wonderful time down in Mexico my friend! :-)

Absolutely Nick, and we had an awesome time! Thanks and it is good to be back here and as active as ever within WA!

Great to hear that buddy and to have you back here! :-)

Welcome back and that’s awesome that you got some family time! We all need a vacation from time to time and you’re no exception so I am sure we are all happy for you that you got to enjoy this time away and are glad to have you back 😊

Thanks Letina, was nice to get a little break with the family. I came home to a bit of a flood situation in our basement which was not the most lovely thing to come back to lol, but we had a great time. Nice to reset once in awhile.

Full speed ahead now, and we have lots of exciting updates that are coming to WA! :)

Not a flood!!! 🤦🏻
I can't wait to see the new updates!

Welcome back, Kyle!

Thanks Joseph, it's good to be back!

There is so much fear over AI overpowering the humans, that I was glad to hear you technical description of AI. How it optimizes life and increaseß our time, that is the true measure of success.

Yeah, it is an optimization tool. Those that "fear it" don't understand it, which is a scary proposition for them. Simply understand it, use it, become better because of it...and you are going to be living much more optimially. :)

I want the glass

Yes, make it to Vegas and you can have your glass, hang with us all, and have a vacation on our dime! All part of our affiliate program! :)

Congratulations on your nice vacation and especially on your desire to lose 25 kilos.
Exercise and sports are very important, but no less important is the help of AL in preparing an optimal diet with a nutrition regimen.
Cheers to the beer and good luck with the kilos!

25lbs. If I lose 25 kilos, I would probably have to ditch an arm or a leg! lol

Thanks for the support Lilia!

1 pound =
0.45359237 kilograms
Sorry, but that's not a small thing.
