Am I violating copyright, i'm not sure?

Kirsty, where are the photographs coming from? If they are from any website or photo site then they are copyright unless stated to the contrary, I believe. If from a royalty free website, such as Wikimedia Commons, freeimages.com, stockpic.com or other similar site then they are okay to use.
I wanted to use a Sean Connery, Roger Moore or Daniel Craig photo in one of my posts but couldn't find (unsurprisingly) a royalty free one.
I'm no expert however and only using the info I have picked up here at WA.

The photos are coming from instagram but I'm saving the image just to use as the feature image. So if you look at my slider on my home page, they're the images i'm talking about. But when you click the post, that image I saved isn't there, it's replaced with the embed code. So is it okay if I use the saved image as the feature image?
Kirsty
Have a look at the Terms on the Instagram website. Under the subheading Rights, section 5 reads:
5.The Service [Instagram] contains content owned or licensed by Instagram ("Instagram Content"). Instagram Content is protected by copyright, trademark, patent, trade secret and other laws, and, as between you and Instagram, Instagram owns and retains all rights in the Instagram Content and the Service. You will not remove, alter or conceal any copyright, trademark, service mark or other proprietary rights notices incorporated in or accompanying the Instagram Content and you will not reproduce, modify, adapt, prepare derivative works based on, perform, display, publish, distribute, transmit, broadcast, sell, license or otherwise exploit the Instagram Content.
I think I'd need clarification from Instagram as to whether you can use any photo image.
Adrian
I did Kirsty but I don't know whether embedding them violates copyright or not. Perhaps others on WA can help further or, as I say, asking Instagram.
I look forward to finding out how you go.
Adrian
I'm pretty sure embedding them is fine. It's the feature image that I'm not sure about.
I've emailed them but they have no direct email to contact them so I'm not even sure I'll get a response.

I'm not sure on how to add a pinterest widget to my website.
Just yesterday I installed the plug in "Ultimate Social Media Icons and Share" and you can get a wide range of widgets for free including RSS, FB, Twitter, Pinterest and G+. You have to go to your dashboard, add new plugins and find the one you like. Then you install it and before activating it you adjust the settings as you want them. After doing that and activating, they will show up on your site.
WP dashboard > plugins > add new: search for Pinterest. And install a plugin that compatible to your theme. Look for the check mark to indicate compatibility.
Actually, this would probably be a social media icon that would be on your page and page. There are some general social media icons that could be placed in the sidebar as well.
Anyway, you could get one specifically Pinterest or add a plugin that has other social media icons such as Facebook and Twitter.
