So much to do...so little time!

After being on my holiday break from work (a two week vacation) where most of my focus was on WA, I returned to the Corporate world this week. Work. Ugh. It was a highly stressful and chaotic week which was fully expected as it is every year. Being such, I wasn't able to write a single post this week as my brain was fried by the time I got off work each day. By Thursday I was begging for today to come so I could start writing again.

Well today has come. And I haven't written yet. I'm catching up on emails and blog posts and activity feeds and analytics and comments and eeeeeverything else. Ugh. Not that I don't enjoy them, just that there's not enough time in the day to do everything I need to do each day. I knew that this would be hard to juggle and will become even harder to juggle in March when I start school again. But I'll manage. It just means I may not progress as fast as I had hoped. So today I'm playing catch up and I'm hoping tomorrow I will get a few new posts published to my sites.

I have tons of ideas I'd like to get started on, just not enough time. Anybody else having this problem? Who said this was the year to get stuff done? LOL oh wait, that might've been me. Nevermind.

Cheers,

~Kris

Hey Kris - I know what you mean - I have 3 young children one of them a baby and I find myself hoping that he'll go to sleep so that I can progress with things here at WA. Success will come to us might just take a bit longer! :)

Just go at your own pace...

Very difficult to keep up Kris. It sounds as if you have the guts to do it though, so best of luck! Lydia.

Thanks Lydia. I do have the determination. It helps that it's already starting to pay off. Best of luck to you as well!

Yes, I know what you mean. I read somewhere that it takes 1000 hours to get decent in any subject but 10,000 hours to be an expert. That's a lot of hours. But as long as you make some progress it's better than standing still. Good luck to you.

Any progress is good progress. Good luck to you as well!

Hey Kris…yes we all feel that way. But don't worry…I am working on a way to get 48 hours into each day! Don't know if it will work or not though……HANG IN THERE!

Oh man, if you figure that out, LET ME KNOW! LOL

Me Too!!!

I think we all feel like that sometimes . But Rome was not built in a day . You can only do so much.

Very true. We do what we can.

Hi Kris - I went back to the 9-5 a week past yesterday - and there is no doubt it is hard... particularly when you know (or at least I know) what you want to be doing is creating content, and building your own future, and you can't spend as much time as you want, because you have to earn money for someone else!!!

It's highly frustrating, but the positive to take from it is that we're on the road to our destination. We're not thinking about it any more, we're actually doing it - and that is a huge advance on maybe a few months ago! And as John says below, we'll get there - slowly maybe, but we'll get there!!

All the best Kris,

Mark

Absolutely Mark. The other plus is that we have that 9 to 5 and that it is paying for our investment here so we should be thankful that we have it. I'm on the right path and I'll keep plugging away knowing that the payoff will come in time.

Remember the Rolling Stones tune? Time Is On Your Side". That's true. Just take your time and do it right, I spend about 14 hrs a day and sometimes it seems I am not going anywhere. But you know what? I do get somewhere. Slowly but surely.
John

You're right, John. Taking our time produces quality work. Slowly but surely we'll get there. Maybe I need more patience than time. LOL

I too find that the day is not long enough to complete all the things I want to do. It has been my biggest hurdle. Throwing in a 2 hour commute does not help. But hey you got the right attitude because all we can do is keep plugging along and if we stay the course and don't give up the spoils will be ours.

Very true. A 2 hour commute...oh my...I'm not sure I could handle that. I've been a telecommuter for about 5 years now and I've found that I have lost a significant amount of patience for traffic. UGH! I feel for you. You are so right, stay the course and keep plugging away!
