Did you WA Today?
Y'all I'm so tired. I joined Wealthy Affiliate just a few days ago (April 3rd, 2015). Even though I work everyday right now, I cannot close my eyes without creating some type of activity on this site.
Just a few days before I joined this site, I received an email offering me a job. It was the best birthday present ever when I actually called and spoke with the Chief Nurse stating that we could get the ball rolling towards my start date. It's a job literally minutes from my home, it has has benefits including retirement, insurance, and accrued personal and medical leave which is something that isn't available at my current job nor was it available at my last one.
In my current position, I have driving time, 12-hour shifts, and let's not forget the paperwork. By the time I feed my face and freshen up, all I want to do is sleep, but just when I get ready to tuck myself in, I have to ask, what have you done with your site today? Have you read an article, watched a video, posted a comment, helped someone, welcomed someone, anything????? If the answer is that I actually haven't had any activity that day, off to Wealthy Affiliate's site I go.
Since it may be 1 1/2 months before I start getting paid from the new job (holdback + The job only pays monthly), and I will probably work two jobs for the rest of this year at which time, I intend for Wealthy Affiliate to allow me to let go of the one without benefits.
I have to remind myself that I go and do my nursing work whether it rains, snows, sleets, or shines so if I can go to work for someone else outside of the house every day for hours as I've done for years, why would I not find a few minutes to dedicate to my own business right here in the comfort of my home?
I have started so many things in the past that I didn't follow through with when the going got tough. Not this time. I am not going to rest until I know that all pages are built on my sites. My Wealthy Affiliate site is the foundation to not only recognize financial success, but I would be able to resurrect some of my previous ideas now that I know how to market them.
I challenge all of us to do the following:
1) Believe that we can do this. We are not Internet gurus......YET! With the proper training and proper APPLICATION of the training, not only could we become gurus ourselves, but we would have helped many others become gurus as well. Isn't that exciting?
2) Treat your site like the business that it is. This is not a crossword puzzle, a movie, a novel that you can put down and pick up whenever you get ready. My business is still under construction, but the behind- the -scenes work is the most important in order for your business to be successful. Many of you have owned your own businesses before so I won't insult your intelligence by pretending that I know everything that's involved with entrepreneurship, but the business owners that I know put in long hours and made a lot of sacrifices in order for their businesses to be successful, so sacrificing just a little sleep for my online business doesn't compare to what I've seen others do for their brick-and-mortar businesses.
3) Set specific goals. I know that Kyle/Carson challenges us to set goals in both the Wealth Affiliate Bootcamp as well as the Online Entrepreneurship Certification Course, but I think for me it got real when I looked at the simplicity of the Compensation Plan. There's not a percentage of anything to compute. You know how much you will earn as a Starter member, and you know what you will earn as a Premium member so you just determine how many referrals you need to do a month to earn the money, and this can be your measure of success. Now my goal of earning $10K - $20K per month (eventually) is easier to compute. Now I know that when I obtain "X" amount of signups that stay every month, I will be able to pay my rent + utilities, or when you are earning "X" amount of money with WA, you can quit one of your jobs. That second goal gives me so much more incentive than the first one because being able to eliminate some of my driving time and have more time to build this business and actually start having a social life is my WHY to login every day.
OK. Now that I have hung out with you guys for a few minutes (blogging), and now that I have visited my sites for a bit to attempt something over there, NOW I can lay these tired bones down.

Thank you. The attitudes that you two have contributed to how inspired I am to win with WA. I never ceased to be amazed with the support of the WA community. I apologize for not making sure that my #3 posted successfully so you didn't see the blog in its entirety, I have corrected that, and thanks for being so positive in spite of my oversight.
That's good to know that you are going to push harder. I apologize that my #3 in the post wasn't complete. I have corrected that, but I'm glad that you were inspired even by a partial blog.

Success is Action on Addiction rewarded. We work at something we are so passionate about that it consumes us and becomes our drive and vision and forces us to take actions instead of sitting on the fence. When we can not live without this stimulation we are bound for greatness.
