5 Reasons Why You Should Give Site Comments
Whether you are starting out here at Wealthy Affiliate or you are learning more pro moves, Site Comments should be a part of your daily strategy.
We all learn here that search engines, like Google, love comments. And having comments on your website is a key strategy to getting your website or blog ranked. It is a key Search Engine Optimization (SEO) strategy.
Site Comments
So the solution of Site Comments was born. Within Wealthy Affiliate, you have a specialized tool in getting comments and giving comments. With Site Comments, you can even buy comments.
Any way you need comments, you can get comments on your website or blog. This tool takes much of the manual work and guessing process out of how to get site comments. Site Comments makes this SEO strategy super easy.
Number 1 Reason To Get Comments
So the Number 1 reason why you need site comments is because it will help get your website or blog noticed, ranked for keywords and get traffic which can generate sales.
So you use Site Comments to get comments. To help your website or blog index and rank.
But Why Give Comments?
I recently discovered why it is important to give comments. Like 6 months into my Wealthy Affiliate journey, I just had 5 AHA! moments. Like seriously.
Here are 5 Reasons Why You Should Give Comments Everyday!
Reason 1: Help improve your writing fluency
Writing can seem like a difficult process. But if you don't try, you will not become a better writer. And if you don't practice, your writing skills will not improve.
So, giving 5 comments a day is a GREAT writing practice. It helps you become more fluent in writing. You practice how to write on any topic you can think of and didn't think of.
You are asked to give a comment with a minimum of 50 words. If you give 5 comments a day at 50 words, that is 250 words of practice. Every day. And you just wing it. Meaning, you do not plan to write, you just read and write. Because you never know what type content subject you will be reading about or giving a comment on.
Since you can't just copy and paste the same comment over and over, you learn how to write unique comments for each piece of content. You learn how to write on any topic thrown at you. This allows you to become a more fluent writer.
Reason 2: You help other people achieve their goals
If you read about any success story, you hear about how the success was achieved with the help of other people.
I mean cities are not built by one person. They are built with the help of many people. Wealthy Affiliate is not successful because of just two people, Kyle and Carson. Wealthy Affiliate is successful because they have a team of 25 people helping them build and improve WA as it is today.
Achieving success goes back to the ole saying, "You get out life what you put into life".
Give and you shall receive. And Site Comments is built on that principal. You give comments and you can receive comments. And help other people along the way!
Reason 3: You get ideas from other people
You will likely stumble across other sites within your niche.
If it is the "make money online" niche, you will see what other people write about in this niche. You see what keywords they use. You will see how they break out the content of the chosen topic.
You will also see how people design their websites. What do they put in their sidebars. How do they encourage you to do something, like click on a link or sign up to their email list.
You will see how they organize their categories and tags. How they organize the content into different topics of interest for people interested in their niche.
This goes back to Kyle's ole saying, “To know the road ahead, ask those coming back.”
You can learn how other people solve the same problems you are trying to solve. You learn how they approach and design solutions for their audiences.
And you can take what you've learned and apply these ideas to your own website or blog. I have!
Reason 4: You learn new things about life topics
You will learn about topics outside of your niche. Life topics that can benefit you personally.
So far, I have learned about the alpha state of mind, products recommended for mediation, and reasons why I should do Yoga. Oh, and let's not forget the best yoga pants to buy!
I have also learned tips for achieving success and making better use of my time. Mental preperation and time efficiency tips.
You will benefit from reading things that you may not otherwise would read.
And with Site Comments, you do not have to go searching for these topics. You simply agree to give a comment and read a random blog post that needs comments. Once you have read the content, you give a comment and even ask questions to learn more about the topic.
Learning new things every day is a beneficial way to grow, improve and ultimately, reach success. Even Kyle, talks about how he learns new things every day. Even though he's been doing what he does a long time, like 13 years or more.
Reason 5: You Build a Better You
You will learn how to become a more efficient writer. And you will ultimately build a better you. Because you are continuously improving your skills.
You will become a better blogger or website content creator. You will become a better website designer. You become a better internet or affiliate marketer.
You will become an improved you!
Newbie or Pro? Doesn't Matter
Once again, it doesn't matter if you are just starting out or you are a pro. You need to learn how to be efficient with your time. You need to learn how to make the best use of your time. You need to learn how to get the most out of your time spent.
Ideally, you should learn every day and try to improve every day. Regardless, if you do affiliate marketing, business marketing or digital marketing every day.
Now that I have realized the extra benefits of giving comments, I have this strategy baked into my everyday process. I realize the gold of doing this process every day. 5 comments a day.
I get more out of giving comments than just getting comments. And you can too.
Hope this provides a new way to look at Site Comments. Happy commenting :)

Nick
That's a great compliment Nick! Appreciate this. Sharing when appropriate may help :) Thanks again.
I have been blocked from comments for being diapproved three times out of twnty. Is there a way to be re approved? Please?
Oh no Marky Joe. I'm not sure. Let's see if anyone else can chime in here.
Otherwise, if it was me, I'd start seeing who I could reach out to as you've done here.
I'd try to see if I could through on Site Support.
Or maybe even comment on Kyle's page to see if he could offer me some advice.
Or perhaps create a question? That's a great question BTW.
Great advice. I learn a lot from commenting. I need to develop it into more of a habit than it is right now, but I do appreciate learning from the comment process.
Thanks Melinda. Appreciate you chiming in.
Yea, I use Evernote to keep a checklist of my daily tasks. For blogging, work and life. I have included this step into my checklist now, so I have a reminder and goal to strive for. The checklist helps me.
You could do it in Evernote, Google Docs or Google calendar. All free ways to keep up with all this stuff :)
You nailed it very well Kim.
Thank you for sharing the benefits of giving site-comments. It is reciprocal, really. By giving comments to other's site it also open up yourself to ideas how people structure their site, the way they convey messages across to their audiences and so on so forth. So it's not time waster as you are earning credits every time you give your comments.
Awesome post.
:)
Joe
YES! You've nailed it too Joe. Just as you, I've realized the opportunity with Site Comments. I really enjoy seeing other people's websites and how they structure their content, what banners they use, etc.
I've learned new ideas from other people. The least I can do is help them get comments!
Thanks for chiming in Joe.
