Do You Hate Stupid? I Do!
A few days ago I posted about my frustration with a theme. I absolutely loved the theme but it seemed to have a flaw.
It wouldn't load the home page or the blog page correctly. It kept trying to nest the images and posts inside of each other. Yet, it didn't happen all the time so I stuck it our a while think it was something I was doing.
I looked and tried at least 25 different themes but just couldn't find one I liked nearly as much as the other. I had sent a support ticket in on the other so I was hoping it was goping to be a quick fix.
The response "That is how Wordpress handles the pictures. It is not a function of our theme and we can not do anything to change it."
Huh? I get that some things don't work. It happens to me daily, well, more like hourly. But, I am not intentionally listing my non-working mistakes for sale.
I wrote back that I was confused and was curious why they were allowing a non-working theme to be distributed. This isn't a small company. They have a lot of themes out there. Eventually they replied that it works for anyone who doesn't use images on thier pages. LMAO! I hate stupid.
The good news. I was literally on about theme 50 trying to find something that worked for my site. I finally found a theme that I now like more after tweaking it. The funny thing was that last night at about 10:30 pm PST I couldn't get my last little tweak to work. I emailed support and hoped that I would have an answer by mid morning. I sent the request and started wrapping up for the night. Less than 2 minutes later I got an email from a live person in their support department who just happened to be online at home who solved my problem for me.
I hate stupid, but I LOVE great customer service. Yes, they got an immediate 5 star review from me.
Well, I am not sure what issue I will obsess about next, but I am glad this one is behind me..
My wish for each of you is that most annoying problem you have been fighting with wil easily get solved today.

Hi Sharlee, I ended up using Customify. It is so nice and easy to make your own. I have a few tweaks to still make but I just really like the look and I have had tons of compliments from random people. You are welcome to take a look at my site as I have tweaked it quite a bit but I haven't done anything that wasn't free or included.
