STOP Writers Block
After coming up with several good post idea's, doing a little jaxxy research and finally deciding which to write about. I just set there with my teeth in my mouth.
For an hour I set there and not a word would come to me to get me started. My brain went numb.
So I got up and went to work out and tried to get my mind off of it for a while. After working out, I hung for a while on my inversion table hoping the blood rushing to my head would wake up the creativity. But Nothing.
I even googled how to cure writer's block.
Here are some doses I found for your entertainment:
- Be a misfit
- Listen to the rain
- Create your own merry-go-round (walk in circles)
- Stop planning your posts
- Stop writing for your readers
- Chug some caffeine
- Talk to an imaginary friend
- Write ahead of yourself
- Curse like a sailor
WHAT !!!!!!
So, after doing # 9 for a while. I set down and turned the TV on and began to channel surf.
I landed on the Comedy channel. There were several stand-up comedians that made me laugh, laugh, and laugh.
When I set down, back at my computer the words began to flow.
I think I've found my cure for writer's block.
So get out there and find what will stop writers block for you.

I have the reverse of writer's block; I write way too much! I have to rein myself in.
I found my best writing comes from keeping a journal, where I just let it all hang out. I've taken much from there to include in my blogs.
I understand about writer's block. It can be frustrating.......sometimes I just have to walk away and leave it. Our minds get overloaded, and taking a break always works for me :-) Never tried the Comedy Channel, but a good laugh & some fun is the perfect getaway!!
Oh, so Comedians help with writers block? Pretty cool! LOL
Great blog and you are correct to step away for awhile, and when you come back, you may have to step away again. But it will happen and be ready when it does.

The late night air helps with me. I just go out for a walk sometime after everyone else has gone to bed. It's calm and quiet enough to be alone with my own thoughts.
