Was wondering if there were problems with activating and using Jetpack plugin? I tried to activate and stated that couldn't connect to host, wordpress reports

Was wondering if there were problems with activating and using Jetpack plugin? I tried to activate and stated that couldn't connect to host, wordpress reports
Some plugins require outbound connections which may not be permitted on WA's servers. Jetpack was banned a long time ago. If you want to use any plugin that requires outbound connections ask Site Support if they will make an exception.

Does anyone delete the theme information from the footer, so it just displays the copyright and other information that you put there? Just curious.

There are ways to do this but I wouldn't, after all you get the theme for free, so it's not much for the developer to ask that all their hard work carries an identifying label. :)

Why did google indexed my urls within my site (pages and post) but still has not indexed my site? Any answers to something that I am missing?

It may take some time for google to index your site itself. I recommend that you wait a couple of days. It could take 4 days to 4 weeks.
Awesome, just never had to wait longer than 2 days before, and thought it was odd that the webmaster tool states that the urls for posts and pages were indexed, but WA is still saying not indexed.
Thank you for your great advice, I shall wait and see. I am getting some traffic, as this is a new site.

You do not need to wait for them to index you. You are way above that. Your website is indexed and more. Indexed is just a way of saying "aware of you and placing you into your place in SERP"
I have 3 other sites and all have went through find. Just curious if something had changed with google indexing that I haven't read about yet. Thank you Chris for your help. You are most appreciated.

Google has indexed urls but not the site itself?

I just upgraded my site, did a backup prior and it now says that the site is not found. What is a girl to do?

I guess if you contact IT support with a ticket, they will be able to assist you with this issue
I believe that they have a duplicate of all our websites on their servers for emergencies and in case something technical happens....

Thank you for your suggestion of tech support. I contacted them last night and they had it fixed within 30 minutes of contact. I have to say I am impressed with the support service here at WA. I appreciate everyone involved in helping make our websites run.

If you backed up your website all you need to do is restore your website with your back up file. How to restore a Wordpress Website from Backup OR Full Backup With a Plugin

Hi Kelly-I lost half my website post images after upgrading. Currently redoing. So sorry!-Rick . :)
Rick, hope the reboot is going well for you. I contacted support, as I forget they are there, I don't really have to many problems with tech issues. Good luck getting it put back together.
