Anyone else have any issues with the page your editing not allowing you to update it? I have done a ton of work on this one page and it will not update! Any tips and tricks to

You may need to empty the browser cache, refresh, and try again. Try the URL in a different browser or mobile device.

You can also empty the servers cache.

You're definitely working directly in WordPress and not via Site Content?

Any time I've ever had an issue with WP freezing or not saving, especially if I've done a TON of changes since the last save, I actually take a screenshot of everything I've done. I'll scroll all the way down the post, taking screenshots all along the way so that just in case I back out completely from WP and come back in to see all my changes gone, I'll have the screenshots to work off of and get that content back :)

Don't worry. You didn't do anything wrong. It's just our machines acting up sometimes.

Goodmorning!

There's no set rule. However, you want to keep it discreet, simple, and relevant.

It's your website. You can have as many as you like. However, it's best practice to devote one landing page to either a single product or a multi-product review of related products and then link to it one to three times from a relevant blog post.

How many links you have is up to you, the best way forward is to think about your audience and ask what is the user experience like for them

If you fill your website up with affiliate links. google and your audience will see it as a bridging site to lots of products

Focus on adding value first - Remember people are not looking for products they are looking for empathy they want to know that you understand their problems and frustration's

Build an audience first

Give first, sell second

You want to do what is tasteful to your audience, there is no specific "rule" on the number of affiliate links, but you want your content to read as helpful and when you are dropping affiliate links you can make product/service recommendations that are relevant.

So just make sure you are tasteful with your affiliate links and if you feel like you are adding too many, you probably are.

any number of links, i'm sure !

How many affiliate links can you site have in it? I remember in a previous training it mentioning you couldn't have alot or you wo

Hello Kayla!

I think everyone else's answers here have you well covered for your question. There are no set "rules" per sé in regards to affiliate links and content on your site.

Just make sure that your affiliate links are placed naturally within your content. If you mention a certain topic or product, that you would think might be helpful to your readers, you can provide an affiliate link to the product mentioned.

Your content per article should be approximately 1,000-1,200 words in length and should provide valuable information for your readers.

Other than that, you can post as little or as many affiliate links as is needed for your content as far as I know.

You may wish to start adding affiliate links only once you have approximately 20+ articles, as affiliate programs like Amazon will only accept your application to their program if you have a minimum amount of posts on your website.

I hope this helps answer your question and best of luck!

don't worry Kayla - as you build out your site you will put a lot of affilaite links in there - google doesn't care as long as it is not jsut a bunch of links with a few words...
make sure any links are for the benefit of your readers and will enhance hte experience of coming to your site...
leave putting links in until you have a base of posts that are helpful - so around 15-20 posts...
this will allow your site to grow naturally...and start to get you organic traffic...as long as they are helpful....

Sharing your affiliate link(s) should be shared naturally where it makes sense where sharing the product or service is how you're helping your readers.

You don't want to plaster your affiliate link every few paragraphs during a review, it should be natural when you mention where to get the product or where the best place to buy the product is at. "Spamming" your affiliate link(s) on every single post/page is noticeable, to the eyes of Google as well, and isn't catering to the overall experience of your readers.

For product reviews, I follow along the template taught here and share a link to the product or service when I'm listing the product/service that I'm reviewing, maybe a couple of times within the content itself, and again in the conclusion to guide the reader to where they can make their purchase.

Typically you should have around 3-4 information posts to every sales page.

There are no set rules as long as you keep your posts discreet, simple, and relevant.
