From Unmotivated, to Motivated
In my last blog post, I had stated that I was very frustrated because my site had stopped getting views. However, after a long phone call with Google, I came to find out that Google was disconnected from my site, so in fact, my views had sky rocketed.
I went from showing 1 view per day to over 30. Needless to say, I was very depressed in my last blog post to being super elated the next day when I found out that my site actually was getting a ton of views. So, I was very happy the next day.
I understand building a business is a journey, and one that comes with it's many challenges, hardships and yes, times of great depression.
I will say that I was very pleased with the community outreach on WA. I must've had over 20 people comment on my blog, giving me words of hope, reassuring me that my site will take off one day and it was simply a matter of time.
I ended up branching my sites off into two, as much as many had urged against. I'm finding that my motivation often comes in the form of Atlas, my Pocket Bulldog who is my closest companion throughout the day, often talking to me. Yes, my dog talks to me.
Many don't believe this until they see it for themselves. My brother, my son and his fiance witnessed this first hand camping this last weekend. I made a Tomahawk steak, and when I asked who wanted my last slice (I was stuffed), Atlas called out a weird sound that sounded exactly like "Me!" Everyone in the RV stopped and looked at her and started laughing. They had never heard a dog respond to something a human said, nor had they heard a dog that sounded like they spoke.
This is the dog I have. She talks to me. She inspires me. She is my companion.
She expects me to literally say, every single morning, "Good Morning Atlas," before she opens her eyes or evens responds to me getting up and out of bed. If I don't say "Good Morning," she will lay there until I do. I've even tested this.
So, because of her inspiration to me, I made a website dedicated to her. AK Hurricane Bullies. Out of all the dogs I've had the pleasure of raising and being in my life, she is the most unique and most human dog I've ever met.
It's odd to think that we are so united and entwined in each other's lives, that when I'm sad, she slowly crawls into my lap to lick my face and tell me everything will be okay.
The day I was sad, she wouldn't leave my side, even to go to the bathroom. Sitting at my feet, she stayed right next to me even then. Watching TV, because frankly, I didn't want anything to do with my computer that day, she laid her head on my lap all day.
I have never once felt this way towards my dogs, but with her, it's different, unexplainable.
So, now I have 3 sites I manage and write in, 2 YouTube Channels and every social media outlet possible. It is time consuming? Yes. Do I work a little more than 8 hours in a day, yes, I do. Up at 9am, work until ..... it's now 5:30pm and I'm still here, still writing.
When you love what you do, it's easy to lose track of time. Writing has always been my passion, so now I do what I love. I haven't gotten paid yet, but I imagine that will come in due time.
As a final note, thank you to everyone that had nothing but kind words for me in my worst of times. I picked myself back up quickly, put my head to the keyboard, and kept on with it.
Thank you. Your support is immeasurable.

Thanks Dave! Yes, I'm way more positive these days!
I know branching off with another site will be more time consuming, but I'm okay with that!

That's very funny but dogs are like people and they're very loyal friends. Glad you resolved your situation with Google.
Thank you! Yes, Atlas is very much human as I like to call her. :) She's a riot!
