Youtube Problem
I put up a Youtube Video almost two years ago and still cannot find it using some of the single keywords that are assigned to it. I am not sure what I am missing so any suggestions will be greatly appreciated.
Here are some details on the video –
Location - https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Hpo2f3dzXGw
First put up: 2 years ago
Video Title: Sand Storm
Number of Views: 298
The video is a song about a soldier’s experience when returning from the Iraq war. Some of the keywords I used are
Iraq
Sandstorm
Sand storm
Joe Riley (the artist)
When I do a search using “sand storm” it does not come up and I have gone through all the results until there are no more videos with that same title. Many of the results that do come up have fewer views that my video so I don’t think the issue is the number of views.
The only way I can bring it up in the YouTube search results is to type Video title and the artist’s name.
Any ideas or suggestions would be great!
Thanks,
Kathy

Hi Kathy,
I can find your video for these phrases:
http://d.pr/i/D3Nf
http://d.pr/i/Kxs8
http://d.pr/i/1Frv
Not for Sand Storm but other variations of the phrase, also note that if you search Sand Storm, Youtube thinks you mean Sandstorm.
All that aside, the video isn't really optimized in anyway.
The tags need fixing, and you should create a new title and description to start of with.
No, I was talking about @gmca's comment, trying to send Kathy to a Jaaxy review with affiliate link, and it doesn't if explain how to find good keyword.
Sorry just hit the link and I agree, no help just pushing jaaxy! I know that Kathy already uses jaaxy, so no sale there then! lol
Not sure what you mean by optimizing. Can you explain? Thanks for the info on what searches did work.
Hi Buddy, youtube changed all the layout of the site sometime back and I struggled to find my stuff I had to refine my search to a specific to get them to load, but the idea was that people would stumble across them when searching for similar things, ie your key words! If you still have the original it might be best to relaunch it and set it up again in the new layout of youtube! Leave the other one there for a double wammy!

Your keyword are to broad, you will need longer keywords with little competition check out http://boomingyourbusiness.com/jaaxy-keyword-tool-review . This will show you how to find good keywords
It just won't come up on searches no matter how far down I look. It seems that even if keywords are too broad it should still come up eventually. Right?
Do you think keyword phrases would help ie: war in Iraq, troops in a sandstorm? That sort of thing, when I use youtube I will usually put in a short phrase rather than a specific but that's just me! Hey ho!
utube have been taking quite a few videos off their site maybe yours was removed, they removed one of mine.

I would first rewrite the title, description and tags with something like the following:
Title: Sand Storm by Joe Riley Our Brave Soldiers Who Served In Iraq
Description: Sand Storm is a song by Joe Riley that's dedicated to our brave hero soldiers who severed in Iraq and who fight for our country.
Lyrics and music by Joe Riley
Proceeds from the Sand Storm song will be donated to organizations helping our brave heroes who now need our support. You can contact Joe at kathyfirak@ameritech.
You should also try add more content to the video description, without being spammy try include words like: troops, war, army, Afghanistan, angel, military, family, tribute, support
If you don't have any other content to add, consider adding the lyrics to the song.
