have anybody hooked up 2 monitors on their laptop?

I use a Macbook Pro. I have a USB screen connected to USB ports through a USB splitter (this monitor draws energy and signal from two USB ports. Then I have a standard monitor connected to the mini display port through a VGA adaptor. This way I have three screens, my laptop screen, the USB screen, and the standard VGA screen. You can move open windows to any of the screens. Choose the screen order and resolutions accordingly.
I hope this helps.

There are devices that allow you to do this:

If you are using a Macbook, you can also link an iPad as a second monitor through an airplay app that allows an iPad to become a second monitor.

Thanks Kyle I'll check it out
