I like your metaphor Kelsey :) - really appealing- especially that I have two 'babies' - well, in fact not babies any more as they are 4 and 7 now :))

HI Kate, Many of us go through the same cycle similar to yours.

Look at it like this is going to be your newborn baby (website). And as you know it takes about 8 to 10 months to be fully grown. So you must sing to him, feed him and visit the doctor regularly. Most important you believe that he will eventually grow and become healthy and successful and grow a passive income.

So developing your site could be the same. Going to the doctor is like coming here to talk to the community and share your problem to get motivated. Singing is like going to facebook to watch fun stuff posted from your friends. Feeding is like posting a blog now and then to increase traffic.

Go out for a walk to enjoy mother nature which is also good for your baby and who knows you may pick up something to blog about. Have a good day. [Kelsey]

I totally agree with you, I have been in that situation recently, but inspiration does come in many ways and nudges us back on track when needed.
