What would happen if google stopped being the number one search engines?
I remember around 15 years ago, there were tonnes of search engines around....and it made me think if a new and more brillant search engine was introduced...and everyone started using this new search engine, what would that mean for all the websites that ranked highly on google? Assuming that this new engine ranked sites differently to google...would everyone have to adjust do you think?

I would welcome the leveling of the playing field. Google may be to big to tolerate the change.
It would be a happy day for me if that would happen. It is not difficult to get good rank in Yahoo and Bing but I think it is Google's challenge to see how hard they can make it.

I think it depends on who the new search engine will be, and what the expectations for us would be. As crazy as it is is now, I can't imagine us having to make much change to be ranked high.
