Is My Hard Work Going to Pay Off?

Hey WA fam!

I just finished a 2500+ word post on my personal blog ... I think it's the longest post I've written so far!

I was inspired to write this post after my trip to Cuba and I had to do an extensive research because I couldn't travel to other Caribbean places myself. My goodness, it took me months to research and write this post and I finally finished it today.

Published at 5:30 in the morning... ha.

2500+ word post and only one Amazon link to the book I actually liked. (Hmmm, I wonder if that will bring me any sales lol).

Is my hard work going to pay off?

I don't know but I guess time will tell. Even though I have only one Amazon affiliate link on my post, I think it will be great for the blog to have a long-length post, which shows value to people in the first place.

I just hope it's not too big and people will actually enjoy the images and the research that I've done on the places to visit in the Caribbean.

A comment from Vitaliy below (a person whose opinion I highly trust):

"As long as you keep producing that content, that will be the fuel to the SEO fire"

This being said, I hope to see the progress with it in terms of ranking, sales etc, and when I do, I will happily share my progress with you guys.

So, fingers crossed :)

Happy Saturday!

Zarina

P.S. Holy moly, I kinda feel shocked that I am finally done with it.

People may think being a blogger is easy but damn you must work hard to produce quality content!

Very well done - looking forward to your reports of fabulous success!

When the progress is there, I will definitely report :) For now, it's 3rd on the first page in Bing and not yet in Google (at least for the first 10 pages).

That one article alone is going to add a ton of SEO points to your overall blog and authority Zarina, so I am absolutely certain it will do well! Well done :)

Hey Vitaliy :) Good to see you around!
Thanks for the words of encouragement, fingers crossed this article will pay off indeed!

As long as you keep producing that content, that will be the fuel to the SEO fire :)

I totally trust your opinion :) Thank you!!

Just from what you've said here, along with that awesome image, it should most definitely pay off for you!

Blessings,
Debby

Hi Debby,
Thank you! :)

I'd like to see your great post Zarina. That auto looks like an original Detroit transplant. they're doing great things in Havana!

Hi Michael,
This is the post I've been talking about - https://kasottyblog.com/top-10-places-to-visit-in-the-caribbean
I hope you enjoy it!

You have piqued my curiosity just with the subject, not to mention the image which is a really cool one!

I remember the days driving around those cars - one of my father's cars was a '56 Chevrolet something or other, and I also drove his '49 Willies Jeep quite often...

This was when I was a 12 year old and I drove on our property only, but - cool...

Sweet cars...

Would love to step back in time, i.e. travel to Cuba...I have been in Puerto Rico and Mexico loved both places for so many reasons/things...

Food, people, ambiance, beaches, more food...You get the idea hehe!

Best of luck and I am sure this will drive some traffic!

Cheers!
Dave : )

Hi Dave,

I love Latin America :) When I was in Mexico for my Spanish program, my Mexican friends even called me "Rusa-Latina" (Latin Russian girl), as I'm drawn to many aspects of Latin America. This nickname kinda stuck!

Thank you for your words of encouragement and I will see you around!

Good work Zarina.
I'd love to see the post as I'm considering a trip to Cuba in a few months.
I'm sure you're efforts will pay off.
BTW Love that car!
Steve

Hey Steve!

My post is not only about Cuba but about places to visit in the Caribbean (although the first one in the list that I mention is Cuba :))

This is the link: https://kasottyblog.com/top-10-places-to-visit-in-the-caribbean

In terms of Cuba, of course, Old Havana was the one I mentioned (and I actually have been there). I hope you like the post!

It's my pleasure to meet you, Steve, and I'm following you back :)

Great article!
Keep up the good work:)

Thank you for your kind words, Steve :)

I feel your pain!!

I recently finished an article that was 3000 words long and it was such an intense sense of relief.

Very well done! the article looks great.

Thank you!!

Omg I'm glad I decided to do the Top-10 list and not top 15 or something!! Otherwise it would take me a LOT more time to finish. Especially since my whole article is pretty much based on research only.

How long did it take you to write a 3000 word post?

About a week.

Here is the crazy thing though:

I write 90% of my articles on my phone with a portable keyboard. On my train journeys to and from my workplace.

In fact most of my entire site is done that way!
I`m really not sure how I manage but I do.

When I started I coudn`t really even get to 800, and now 800 is short!

Great stuff!!

I can't do on my phone, I barely respond here on my phone (iPhone 5s). And I can't carry my laptop around as it doesn't turn on if it's not plugged in *sigh*

Im impressed with the way you manage your blogging stuff - keep up the good work man!

thanks! You too!!!

It sounds like you might have a bad battery in the laptop? Most laptops, unless it's a super fancy slim one, have an easy to replace battery. Some people even carry multiple charged batteries with them and swap out as needed.

Thank you!! :)

It seems that might be the issue - I forgot it one time in the car in the winter time and the next day it couldn't stay on without being plugged in anymore. I guess Amazon would be the cheapest place to order it from?

Yep, that could do it. If it's the kind of battery that just pops out, pop it out (with the laptop powered off, of course) and look for a part number. If you don't see a part number, go to the laptop manufacturer's website, you can type in the laptop's serial number or on Dell's they have a Service Tag, which is the same thing. It can sometimes be a pain, but you can get a part number for the replacement battery. Then shop around on Amazon or eBay with the part number. Be careful and read reviews, you don't want the outright cheapest one that might explode on you! If you don't want to be bothered by all that, if you have a Micro Center near you or local friendly computer shop, you could just hand it to them and they might even have one in stock.
I don't really recommend purchasing from the manufacturer's website, as it might be 2-3 times more expensive! Just use that to get the right part number.
Also, I should mention that the ones with modular batteries come in different sizes! You could get the same as you had, or if you get one rated at a higher Ah or Wh, which is Amp-hour or Watt-hour, it will last longer on one charge. The downside is that they are usually bulkier and might not lay flat or fit right in your laptop bag.

Hope this helps. With a working battery, you'll be able to be more productive and not hunting for a plug all the time. Whenever I get writer's block, I like to go outside and write. I always find inspiration outdoors.

What an elaborate answer, Steve, thank you!!! I will be sure to follow your advice.

And it's true, I personally love working outside but haven't done this in months (ughhh). I will search around for a battery - I need to get more productive with the blogging and websites.

Thanks again and I will see you around!

Haha, yeah, I'm known for giving "elaborate" answers. :-)
Good luck with the laptop!

You should do product reviews or something on your website, readers will definitely understand your points :) Thank you again!

Thanks! I guess "too-thorough" isn't normally a problem with product reviews! They can always skim. As long as headings, pictures, and video are laid out property.

That is true, indeed :)

Well done! :-)

Thank you John :)

I had a look at your site there, and i really like it!

The look is clean and the structure makes perfect sense to me.

Content is great as well.

Keep it up!

kev

Hello Kev!

Thanks for your kind words :) Originally, I started with another blog which was more directed at self-development books, tips etc and the second, Kasotty Blog website was more on online business and blogging, but it took too much time to work on both websites so I decided to combine the two and make more of a personal blog :) Not niche-specific but oh well

Also, it's nice meeting you and I'm following you back!

I would love to read it as I am trying to immerse myself in this community! I couldn't find the link on your profile so if you could post it that would be awesome! Have a great day!

Hey, Joe! Nice meeting you and I am now your follower too :)

I see you just joined the WA - congrats!

Usually, the links are on the main profile page under profile picture (after blogs, after training tutorials, down there).

But since you ask, I guess it will be OK for me to share the direct link here: https://kasottyblog.com/top-10-places-to-visit-in-the-caribbean

Would love to hear your opinion :)

Thanks for the follow and reply! I will definitely take a look at it! :)

Thanks, Joe :) See you around!
