In the "I didn't know you could do that" category, I was today years old when I discovered that you can use Chatgpt or other AI programs to generate content ideas. I know we can do that here on Wealthy Affiliate, as well, and we get a ton of ideas, but I wanted to see if the free version of Chatgpt could generate some content ideas as well.

Lo and behold, it can. It was a little slow, but that might be my Internet today.

So, as some of you are aware, I struggle with type 2 diabetes. I have good days and bad days with it and unfortunately it is one problem that coffee just can't fix! Although I am certain that the coffee helps make it better!

It was a real simple process and if you need more content ideas it does look like a good solution to lack of content ideas.

I typed in the following prompt:

Hi Buddy. (I named my Chatgpt assistant "Buddy") Please give me 10 content ideas for type 2 diabetesChatGPT

Here was Buddy's response:

Of course! Here are ten content ideas tailored to type 2 diabetes:

  1. Nutrition Guides: Create comprehensive guides on diabetic-friendly foods, including meal plans, portion control tips, and recipes.
  2. Exercise Routines: Develop workout routines suitable for individuals with type 2 diabetes, emphasizing the importance of regular physical activity in managing blood sugar levels.
  3. Managing Stress: Explore the connection between stress and blood sugar levels, offering strategies such as meditation, deep breathing exercises, and mindfulness practices to help manage stress effectively.
  4. Medication Management: Provide information about commonly prescribed medications for type 2 diabetes, including their mechanisms of action, side effects, and tips for adherence.
  5. Blood Sugar Monitoring: Explain the importance of monitoring blood sugar levels regularly and offer tips for effectively using glucose meters and interpreting results.
  6. Lifestyle Changes: Discuss lifestyle modifications that can help prevent or manage type 2 diabetes, such as weight loss, smoking cessation, and limiting alcohol intake.
  7. Complications Awareness: Raise awareness about potential complications of type 2 diabetes, such as neuropathy, retinopathy, and cardiovascular disease, and offer guidance on prevention and management.
  8. Support Networks: Highlight the importance of building a strong support network for individuals living with type 2 diabetes, including support groups, online communities, and counseling services.
  9. Diabetes-Friendly Dining Out: Offer tips for dining out while managing type 2 diabetes, including how to make healthier menu choices, portion control strategies, and navigating restaurant menus.
  10. New Research and Developments: Provide updates on the latest research findings, treatment options, and technological advancements in the field of type 2 diabetes management, keeping your audience informed about emerging trends and breakthroughs.

These ideas should offer a diverse range of topics to engage and educate your audience about type 2 diabetes.

I could also break each topic down and ask Buddy to give me more content ideas on each specific topic listed.

For example: Hi again, Buddy. Could you please give me 10 content ideas on what to write for nutrition guides?

Buddy

Certainly! Here are ten content ideas for nutrition guides:

  1. Diabetic-Friendly Food Swaps: Offer a comprehensive list of healthier alternatives to common high-carb foods, such as swapping white rice for cauliflower rice or using lettuce wraps instead of tortillas.
  2. Meal Planning for Type 2 Diabetes: Provide step-by-step instructions for creating balanced meal plans tailored to individuals with type 2 diabetes, including sample menus for breakfast, lunch, dinner, and snacks.
  3. Carbohydrate Counting 101: Explain the concept of carbohydrate counting and how it can be used to manage blood sugar levels, including tips for estimating carb content and practical strategies for meal planning.
  4. Glycemic Index and Load: Educate readers about the glycemic index (GI) and glycemic load (GL) of foods, and how these concepts can help in choosing foods that have less impact on blood sugar levels.
  5. Fiber-Rich Foods for Diabetes: Highlight the importance of fiber in the diet of individuals with type 2 diabetes, and provide a list of fiber-rich foods along with creative ways to incorporate them into meals and snacks.
  6. Healthy Cooking Techniques: Share cooking tips and techniques that can help individuals with type 2 diabetes prepare delicious and nutritious meals at home, such as grilling, baking, steaming, and stir-frying.
  7. Eating Out with Diabetes: Offer practical advice for dining out while managing type 2 diabetes, including how to read restaurant menus, make healthier choices, and control portion sizes.
  8. Snacking Smart: Provide a list of diabetes-friendly snack ideas that are low in carbs and sugar but high in protein, fiber, and healthy fats to help stabilize blood sugar levels between meals.
  9. Sugar Substitutes and Sweeteners: Discuss different types of sugar substitutes and artificial sweeteners available on the market, their pros and cons, and how they can be used safely as part of a diabetic diet.
  10. Nutritional Supplements for Diabetes: Explore the role of nutritional supplements such as vitamins, minerals, and herbal remedies in managing type 2 diabetes, highlighting those that may offer potential benefits and precautions to consider.

These nutrition guide ideas cover a range of topics relevant to individuals with type 2 diabetes, helping them make informed choices about their diet and lifestyle.

If I do that for each of the 10 initial ideas and then create 10 from each one that would give me 110 articles I could potentially write! Or course, not all of them will be topics that I want to write about, but now the option is there.

Some of you may have already tried this and know about it, but it was new to me!

I think each topic could be then put into the outline process here at WA and then easily written from the outline!

Now to get started!!

Have a great rest of the week!

Karin,

This is why we connected. Great minds think alike. This prompt is the one that I was using before "The Hub".

Help me develop a topical map with the best chance of helping me rank for long tail keywords in [VOLKSMARCHING] on Google. Give me 30 semantically relevant but unique topics under the main category of [VOLKSMARCHING HEALTH BENEFITS] and for each give me 10 different variations of the topics that each address a different search intent. Prioritize transactional intent. Make it in a table format with the following columns: Column 1 - The unique semantically related topic, Column 2 - the different variations, Column 3 An intriguing clickbait style title.

Then I put this table into Google Sheets and do a quick Google Search for each title. Those that have low-ranking competition and are transactional, are the first to be written.

Love the prompts! I am starting to get the hang of things with what I request from AI, but it is a learning curve for me. I think I am being specific, but often I am far too general in my asking.

Great minds do think alike. Glad we connected!

Karin

Thank you, Karin

I also only recently realized I could do this with Chat as well. I am rather new to using ChatGPT, but the more I use it the more I find I can do.

I often worry about diabetes myself. My mom has it, and so I could be genetically be at high risk I have read.

As we age health problems seems to find us more and more,

Jeff

When I hit 40, diabetes! Overweight and over 40 is the phrase I heard a lot of. I was determined to defeat type 2, but even my doctor tells me that won't happen. I still believe it will and I definitely believe it can be prevented! Don't give up hope on that.

I love the things AI allows me to do. It isn't that I run out of ideas, I simply can't always think of new ones when I am going to write a post for my blog! LOL

Karin

I too love it for coming up with list of ideas, keywords, summarization. Gets my juices flowing. Way to go! And yes, get started! ANNE

Yes, But check out what Frank shared below. You can do the same kind of thing right here on WA! I learn something new every day!

Karin

I will do that! Thanks!

You are most welcome!

Karin

ChatGPT is mega-useful for that kind of thing. I've used it to provide skeleton structure and titles for a book I am writing about petsitting. It's ideal to use for just hinting on what to write about, which is generally enough to get the keyboard clattering.

I wouldn't get it to write any content, but it's fine for suggesting things in case you need inspiration.

Dave

I hear you, Dave. When I use any AI engine to write content for me I end up spending a lot of time going through it to "fix" it and make it sound more like me. The one here on WA does a fairly decent job, but I still end up adding things to personalize it. AI has its strengths and its weaknesses!

Karin

Awesome, Karin! I have not ventured into AI yet! looks too generic, and everyone seems to be doing the same thing!

Hope it works out for you!

Jeff

It can be very generic, but you can add prompts to tell it to be specific on what you want as well as telling it to not add any fluff! It is really quite amazing what can be done with it as I am learning.

Karin

I know, Karin, have heard this for a while! I hope it all works out for you!

Jeff

Thanks, Jeff. I hope it does, too!

Karin

Fingers crossed, Karin! 🤞

This is a great informational article for those who aren't too familiar with using AI for brainstorming. I love it! I have used several of the ideas the chatbot has given me for articles. It saves so much time and brings back ideas I would never have thought about. Plus, I love using it for making images. I am having a blast coming up with different prompts for images to use on my sites.

Isn't AI exciting?

Nancy

It certainly is, Nancy.

I hope the article will help someone who needs it!

Karin
