Advertising works

I honestly believe in the power of advertising!

Not only do I have to because selling ads is part of my job at the newspaper where I work. I would be kind of a bad sales rep if I had to "fake it."

I also believe in advertising because I recently held a contest in one of my ads. I used this as my marketing strategy and I am so pleased to tell you that it worked!

I sold myself an ad and mentioned that if someone were the first person to mention they saw my ad in the newspaper or one of the special editions we did last week that I would give them an affiliate marketing course for free. I also told them it was a $199 value. (As many of you know, the information we provide for free is probably way more valuable than that!)

Now I have to finish up the course. I already wrote an e-book on basic affiliate marketing info that I will have as a give away on my site as well as for sale on Amazon in e-book and paperback forms. I have only sold one e-book so far, but one is better than none!

The best part about someone actually winning the contest is that I know the ad worked!

I also know the person who won and she is very influential in the county in a number of ways. She is one of the 4-H leaders for the county. She is very influential in the agriculture community in the county, state and has even been involved at the national level. She also works for the county health department. If she loves the course and she sees benefit from it the word of mouth advertising through her will be astounding!

Well, my granddaughter and I will be very busy over the next couple of weeks as we finish up filming the videos for the course. I will probably do the majority of the class with this lady in live Zoom sessions or in person though because that one-on-one will mean a lot to her.

My intention through this beginner course is to point people to Wealthy Affiliate, as well. The platform here will not only save her money in the long run but also provide her with a much higher level of training than I can provide.

I will probably let her husband, who is also a friend of mine, participate in the course, too, because his influence in the county is also far-reaching.

I am very excited that this ad worked. I have a couple more to go out. I am happily anxious to see if those ads produce results as well!
