2021 a year to make someone else's life better
I was reading an e-mail I subscribe to. It is one that I don't always read just because I get so much e-mail. But today, I decided to read it.
It was about creating resolutions or goals and something struck me that I hadn't ever thought of before while creating those things.
"Rather than just focusing on making yourself better this year, why not make 2021 the year you invest in someone else’s life to make them better?" The e-mail stated.
WOW!
Mind is blown!
I mean, what a simple concept. Instead of focusing on myself, what if I focused on someone else? What would that mean? What would that look like? What kind of difference in the world could that make?
I am delving deeper into this because I really feel that this is what I am being led to do—make someone else's life better this year.
How?
I don't know yet. But I feel that through Wealthy Affiliate, I can do just that. I will for sure be doing more to promote this awesome platform! I can't think of a much better way to make someone else's life better than to introduce
them to this potentially life-changing site and all that it has to offer.
I also believe that through my e-books, I can help others have a more satisfying life.
These are just ideas off the top of my head. I also want to think about ways I can help the people I know in simple ways. I don't think any of this has to be hard or rocket science. It just needs to be something that will help them have a better life.
Given much
I may not be wealthy (yet) in the form of money, but I still feel I have been given much. I feel that we all have certain talents and skills that we can share to help make other's lives better.
Because of the gift my spouse has given me in taking on a second job and giving me permission to quit my "day" job, I feel I can use some of that time to hone those talents and skills to help make someone else's 2021 better.
When we are given much, much is expected. Basically, this means we are responsible for what we are given. We are responsible to use it for good and not just for ourselves but for others, too.
Adding a new goal
So, today I am adding a new goal for this year. Even though it is apparent that COVID-19 is anything but done with the human race, I will be doing my best to make 2021 better for as many people as I can.
I hope that in some small way, my contribution will help.

A great NY resolution. Something I have been doing in 2020 and am continuing this year whilst we are only in weekend lockdown/curfew, is that during my morning exercise, I remove about 1 -2 kgs of plastic waste each day from the smaller beaches here that the municipality don´t clean. I estimate I removed about 100 kg of plastic waste in 2020, not a lot in the scale of things, but I´m hoping others will do something similar, in line I think with your goal to help others, in my case the local sealife. It has led to me making friends with the local surfers, and one has just ordered some spirulina from me!

Thank you, Trevor. And I sincerely thank you for removing the trash from the beaches! Every single bit helps!!! If everyone did a little, it would add up fast!
My family and I are going to begin larger-scale recycling in our household this year. Admittedly, we have been lax in doing it at all. However, we are excited to start doing our part. As a newly elected official for my city, I feel I must lead by example. This is one way I can do that.

Me too Karin, am with you!!. When someone asked me why I wasnt interested in making money this year in this venture- I only responded by saying - "I want to provide value this year to my customers/readers/site visitors and hopefully become an authority - anything else is a bonus and be an authority this year". That's the goal.
Let's make people's lives better this new year in any way we could.
