I am currently progressing through the course work, and am in course 2, lesson 5 right now. I have found all of the work so far to be rather easy and this part is taking more time than I would like.

My niche is in the healthcare field and I wonder if that (HIPAA) is the reason that I am struggling to find good photos. I have already spent several hours looking through images and have been displeased at what I can, or rather cannot, find.

I am hoping that my many friends here will offer some suggestions on how to hasten this work. Maybe it is just time consuming and I am being inpatient, but I am asking for any "hacks" any of you use.

Thank you all so much for reading and taking the time out of your busy schedules to offer any advice you may have.

Love Always,

Kara Grace :))

Your image choices are very good. Sometimes finding 'what you want' takes some sorting through to find just the right image.

Thanks SuzQ :))

Here's a site I used before I found Pixabay. Not as good but it can be useful. http://all-free-download.com/free-photos/ - Margaret

Thank you!! I am going to check this out tonight!

You can take your own pictures, even if that means a taking a picture of a picture lol! That's what I am doing.

Wouldn't that be a breach of copyright? It sounds good if it's legit.

I type a specific image name into Google, say, "NFL Football Stars," followed by a dash, and the word "pictures." This usually brings up thousands of images-a wide variety, and many without the Shutterstock marks that make them less than desirable. You can then search through to find the best and most appropriate image. Hope this helps!-Rick :)

I have been looking at Google, but was concerned that I was stealing. As long as there is no water mark, I am okay? Thanks so much for the response!

I don't concern myself with it. If there's no watermark, I grab it! If we had some multi-million dollar web-site, then somebody might take issue with some of them. The option is to put out more money to get paid images. :)

Kara, finding images takes some time and finding great images even longer I've found. I'm still figuring it out too.

I am glad I am not alone... I was beginning to wonder :))

Hi Kara, great information. Irv.

If you haven't already, you may want to try Pixabay.com or Pexels.com...You can also create your own cloud with https://tagul.com/...Try pulling up words for the long title of HIPAA which is "An Act To amend the Internal Revenue Code of 1986 to improve portability and continuity of health insurance coverage in the group and individual markets, to combat waste, fraud, and abuse in health insurance and health care delivery, to promote the use of medical savings accounts, to improve access to long-term care services and coverage, to simplify the administration of health insurance, and for other purpose"...and yes, I agree, Canva is also a good one to use. There is also Wikimedia Commons.

Thank you so Much!!! :))

You are very welcome, Karagrace :)

I agree with Brandy, Canva is fantastic. I also use a sneeky way with Facebook to find quality images. They have a huge library of images. Cheers Kev

Great! Thanks!

HIPAA may be part of the reason for some healthcare images. One of my blogs is all about migraines, so I know it can get difficult to find good medical-related photos that you don't have to pay for.

I don't really know about hacks, it's just a manner of finding a good photo site and being flexible. For instance, I use Canva.com to take one image that may not be exactly what I'm looking for to either spice it up or add other images to it to create something else, and so forth.
Plus it allows me to create unique images that only i have.

I also like using PhotoPin for my images. There are a LOT of images on there. However, you do have to do some searching. For instance, if you want a picture of a doctor, you may have to scroll past the first 100 images of a doctors conference or something like that.

Good luck!

Thanks, I do have a canva account. Maybe that will help me out!

Make sure that when you look for images in the area that you want be specific rather than general.
