I just purchased a new domain around 15 to 20 minutes ago right here on WA, but when I click Login Now, it redirects me to a page that says:
"This site can't be reached.
At WA SiteDomains they say it can take from 30 minutes to 24 hours.
I doubt that it would take 24 hours. Maybe try again in an hour or so. ~Jude
Hi Joshua, normally when a new domain is purchased it can take up to 48 hours to get up and available on the web. My experience has been that it will take less than 24 hours before it shows. Have a great day. Joe

How long for a newly purchased domain to be accessible?

The issue resolved itself about an hour or so after I purchased the domain name, and created the website using the domain. I contacted support, and they asked me to troubleshoot a few things, which didn't work. I'm not sure if they did something behind the scenes, or if it was simply a waiting game. Thanks for all of the help and advice, everyone!

I have a domain that's hosted through Wix. I'm not impressed by Wix at all, and in comparison to WA, there's no competition. I won't be able to transfer the domain for 60 days
Does Wix use WordPress? If not you'll have to copy and paste your content into a SiteRubix subdomain before changing the nameservers. Later on, it's easy to move a website's content from a SiteRubix subdomain to your real domain name.
Great! I assumed I'd have to copy, and paste, but that's not a problem. Thanks for the reply.

Can I build a free site then transfer to a domain I own?

Hey, everyone! Quick question. Is it necessary to make a new user through WordPress if I changed my name from Admin to my full name, and have a picture of myself? Doesn't that
You might find the answer to that here Why should you Create a New WordPress User Hope this helps =)

Removed plugins, deleted plugins, cleaned out some test pages, and posts, but it still takes around 15 seconds to load anything. Last week I had no problems like this. I recent
First thing I'd try is to activate a WordPress standard theme such as Twenty Sixteen or Twenty Fourteen. If that doesn't help then have a look at Marcus's training How to Dramatically Speed Up Your Website
Thank you for the quick reply! I figured it out. It must have been something I downloaded recently that was slowing down the overall operation speed of my PC. I was troubleshooting, and uninstalling things that weren't exactly performance worthy, and solved the problem. Thanks again! The training from Marcus is really good.
