Hi,

Spotted this on twitter...you have to click on read more to see it...

Is anyone planning to organise an Easter egg trial?

Will it be for adults or children?

I miss not looking for easter eggs - which I have only ever done as an adult. Are they only a recent phenomenon?

Julia

PS Update - We went to friends for Easter Sunday lunch and there was an easter bunny egg hunt - and we are all adults!! Great fun!!

I was raised as a Catholic in the U.S., and I could never fathom the connection between the Risen Christ, and Easter eggs, (laid by a bunny, no less), but every time I asked, I never got a satisfactory answer.
But hey, chocolate rabbits, jelly beans and colored eggs?! My sisters and I were O.K. with it.

Thanks for sharing Julia!

me to! and also Father Christmas too!@
to me, are all part of commercialized ideas to skim more money from the masses! as my granddad told me when I was very young:
if you sell toys at Christmas, chocolate eggs at Easter and Gelato in summer you only work half year at the most but you make more then everyone that works the entire Year! hope that you and who may read this will like and understand the truth about business, money and time!
cia:o)

Thank you very kindly for the explanation. It's been a long time coming. HAPPY EASTER!!!

Hi Julia.

My grandparents used to organise them for me when I was a child, but by the time I had kids of my own, it had grown out of fashion in Nigeria, where we were. Possibly if I had been in UK at the time...

It is sad to witness the passing away of former traditions, but then again, Pokemon! I suppose. (shrugs)

I don't do the Pokemon thing, I don't think I know anyone who does, but someone must, as it seems to be so popular.

Regards,

Thanks for that sharing and complments of the season
Cheers.

I am planning on having an egg hunt for kids. Having one for adults would be fun as well :)

Thanks for sharing!
This was definitely a smile-inducing post.
Happy Easter from Kansas USA!

We hunted for Easter eggs when I was a little girl and I am now 61 so they have been around for a while. I grew up in California. I recall so well sitting at the kitchen table and dyeing them different colors. Great memories...
My Welsh husband who is also in his 60's told me recently that they never did this when he was growing up. But they did have chocolate eggs!
Interesting!
Have a great Easter yourself!

Hi,

We coloured hard-boiled eggs with felt-tips - they looked great but I do wonder whether we should have eaten them afterwards!

Happy Easter!

I colored eggs for 19 years. Now I don't have to, as my children have their own homes and color their own eggs. My grandson is 2 years old, but he lives in Maine (sent Easter gifts), half a continent away from me. So, no egg hunting for me. My husband is going to bring me chocolate rabbits on Monday when they are half price! hahaha. Mostly we are celebrating my husband's birthday, which is today, So there will be festivities. Special dinner out tonight, special dinner on Sunday. Cake. So, double holiday for us. Happy Easter to yall!

Hi,

Happy Birthday and Happy Easter!!

Have a great time!

My daughter used to organise a Easter egg hunt when the children were younger. Up to that point I had never heard of it.

Yes, sure, in the garden for the grandchildren! My wife organizes this stuff, thankfully. Happy Easter!
