Thanks for your question and I feel you should as why you were removed!
It is a fairly common thing though and they may give you suggestions as well...But do ask!

HI LLiu, I just posted a long explanation of what I found out. Disturbing info because it's coming from my state. Check it out
I am sorry for the extra work but it should be easier this time. It would be good to know why they made this decision. You may find an affiliate that works better for you.
Marty
Marty that's very true. They don't allow me to also affiliate with amazon who I'd like to use for art book reviews. Breathe... right
I am with Amazon and have had a few sales but have yet to make money as they charge for advertising. I like Amazon because it offers most every thing that pertains to your niche and your site visitors can shop for anything they like. As my traffic grows I will start making a profit.
Marty
HI Marty,
I posted an update to my situation which might be of interest. It's posted at the top.
Shawn Martin is right. Sometimes programs will drop you if you aren't bringing them enough traffic/sales through your link. Or it could be something that they just decided to do the only way to know would be to contact them.
Thanks NicholePaige - See my reply above to Shawn. I had heard of others who were dropped by Amazon due to lack of sales. What I don't understand is how does it hurt the seller - they don't have to do anything or maybe they do and I just don't know about it - if an affiliate still hasn't made any sales.
Many times they will do that to reduce the size of their databases. It decreases how much they have to spend to keep accounts active and similar computer expenses. I know us military folk have to keep our accounts active by logging in 3-4 times every year, even when we only use the account maybe once every three years. When they deactivate the accounts they essentially save money because it is less for them to manage.
OH and one last question then if the issue of databases results in being dropped. Do folks think it's best to have "x" number of visitors per day before even adding affiliates to a site and if so what would that number be?
Hi Nichole, I posted an update to my being dropped situation at the top which might interest you. Thanks.
Look for an alternative or re-apply. You can also contact them and ask why you were removed
Thanks Shawn, I did contact them and waiting for reply. If there is no solution with them then I'll look for an alternative (just means duplicate work on what has already been done re:links)

What to do if dropped by an affiliate?

Thanks to all who have responded to my question. I wanted to give an update. Blick Art Supply responded today with a very nice message. Apparently New Mexico decided to implement new internet tax polices and Blick has dropped the whole state. Obviously this will be the same response from all possible affiliates (please correct me if this assumption is wrong).
So I called my state senator who referred me to the tax and revenue department. He understood my concern and said that if I can't get the tax folks to see reason then he would look to introducing legislation. Only problem with that is they won't meet again until next January.
Now I'm waiting for a call back from the tax people.
If anyone has any other ideas on how to solve this please let me know.
Thank you Judith for posting this. I admire you for doing what you did to find out what was going on with this. A little frustrating I am sure! Lol. It will be a big help to some here at WA knowing this information.'
Keep us posted to what you will be doing and I wish you all the best of success with this.

I'd like to remove the header from my site as it takes up too much valuable real estate. Any trainings on that?
Hi Judith a great question and I am not sure if you can do what you want with out changing the theme.
Your header image can be changed to anything you want Judith through the dashboard in the customize settings, but the space it takes up is really up to theme and I don't think you can change that.
Hi VitaliyG, Looks like I need to change my theme. I haven't done that before - is it pretty seamless or am I heading into a quagmire?
VERY seamless! Changing themes keeps all your content up. The ONLY thing that changes besides the look is if you made any custom menus. It'll remove them until you set the new theme to show them.
Yeah I know that but when I go to appearance - header there is no option to delete. So is that a theme thing and I'd have to change themes if I want no header? thanks.
Yes, it must be a theme thing.
You can change your theme..or change original code. :-(
Good luck,
Kit

I've been putting it off but finally tried to figure out what is going on with google+ and I am lost. Is it just me or is it very unfriendly to the users?
I agree with you Judith. I have heard from many members that are feeling much the same as you. It is not you...
Linda.
Yeah- I pretty gave up. Google+ doesn't even offer a tutorial or anything. Posting is fine but interacting is impossible. Yikes!

I'm looking at a good low competition keyword which has 4 words. When I google it the sites that come up seem to have other words inserted in between the targeted words. Wil
Hi Judith, It looks like Bert has given you some good information. Hope it helps you.
Thank you for your question and I think I learned something too!
Linda :)
Hello,
Actually when you have inserted extra words then you have 2 keywords, of course, google does see all those words on the page and when there is no competition for that (or those) keywords then I am not surprised you still can get good results in Google...
What I would do: I would add the complete keyword as a tag in your Wordpress page, that will definitely help;
A few hours ago there was a blog of Marcus1978 that explained his results with adding tags in his pages...
Grtz,
Bert
I do always put the keywords in as a tag but I always find that even where I know some things the trainings at WA offer some new tidbit.
