Is it something that would benefit by adding to my website? and when should this be done?
Video is one of the biggest growing trends in Internet Marketing, both for cost and effectiveness. Cheers!
This is awesome information, Thank you for taking the time to respond. I will start to learn how to do this.

Yes, it is great to add videos to your website.
Videos will help reduce your bounce rate. Which will help you get better google rankings. This is ultimately because videos make it easier to consume content. You can also post videos in multiple places which will help with rankings.
It can no doubt be frustrating trying to figure out how to implement everything. Just take things one paw at a time. If you are going to produce your own videos I would just start doing videos that you can relate to your content and post it one your site with your content and on other sites like youtube and facebook. If you are using youtube videos just be sure they relate to your websites contact and of course designate with your audience.
As far as when, you can start today. It's completely up to you. I would recommend starting gradually. There is no set rule for implementation. Of course we wish we could start our sites and online businesses perfectly, but that is impossible. We learn and grow as we go and this leads to constant adjustments and improvements.
I hope this helped. I wish you all the best.

Creating a YouTube video (either with yourself in there or via converting a PowerPoint Presentation to video) and uploading to YOUR YouTube account and getting backlinks to your new YouTube channel AND THEN embedding that YouTube video on your website IS HUGE! Google owns YouTube and this kind of connection will give you some fantastic "Google Love". Promote your video channel and your YouTube video link in addition to your new webpage. This has an extreme synergistic SEO boost.
Yes they are, and you should be making videos as much as possible, whenever possible, and putting them up on youtube, vimeo, dailymotion, with links back to your site. And embed within your post as well. I want to make better videos, but don't let that stop you, quality and whatnot. You'll only get better in time.
