I posted a blog a few days ago, in which I wrote about the subtle differences between Emulating and Imitating, which was kind of a comparison between creating a real painting, and doing a paint by number. So let's recap my post quickly.

Emulating

Personally, and for whatever reason,a great mind I've emulated throughout my Life, is that of Carl Gustav Jung, Why? Because I resonate to his thinking, I found his constructs somehow mirrored my young precepts at that time, and for whatever reason, I began admiring him at a very young age.

Carl quickly became Sigmund Freud's protege, and it's quite obvious in his early thesis' and research, just to what degree he emulated Freud. As Jung's direction became more clear to himself, he began to produce his very own work, even to the point of openly questioning and publically criticizing Freud's theories. Now though there is no doubt that Jung emulated Freud, you will not ever be able to accuse him of copying, plagiarizing or imitating Freud in the vulgar use of the term.

Yet, without Sigmund, there might well never have been a Carl, at least in the way we know of him and of his contribution to Psycho analysis.Not anymore then there might have been a Beethoven, without a Mozart. Saul would have remained Saul and not the Paul as we know him, had he not emulated Jesus the Essene.

We all emulate someone while learning, and even beyond, it's how our species is able to evolve. And like really, what greater compliment and personal validation for any Teacher or Master

Imitating, plagiarizing, and copying

Kyle and Carson strongly make mention of this in their training here, and somewhere in the tutorials, Kyle even emphasizes the importance of emulating. He strongly encourages us to go and look at other sites, to study them and learn, and by the same token, he firmly discourages us from Copying and plagiarizing.

So that's a basic recap, let's get to today's post.

Great you're still with me. What I'd like to discuss is my experience here at WA, and how I emulate certain Teachers and Masters here.

At the moment I'm deep into studying how to create quality Broadcasts, Podcasts and Videos,so as to promote my own book, and create video tutorials. So who am I learning from? Jay of course @magistudios here at WA., and his weekly Podcast Tutorials. So why Jay? Because I resonate to his style, I Love how smooth he is, how he knows exactly what he's doing. Last but not least, how he connects with his audience, and how he's able to create his Podcast all the while making it a personalized experience for his listeners. He makes it look all so easy.

Use WA to your advantage.

I'm using Jay as an example, because right now, he's who I'm learning from, and I want to encourage you to do the same. Get on, and read profiles and tutorials, learn from the Masters and Teachers here. I won't be shy in a year or two, when I've got my own internet radio broadcast, and someone asks me; "Hey, how did you start, who did you learn from? I'll be proud to say, I learned from the best at WA!

So get out here, socialize, make friends and learn.
