Heat Wave In The UK
Hi All WA friends,
A lighthearted blog for the weekend, we don't get the warmest of weather here in the UK. But it is still only March so we cannot expect too much, although our clocks go forward tonight meaning British summer time. One hour less in bed.
After taking the dogs for a walk at lunchtime today, it was very warm, complete blue sky. I could have stayed out all day, but on returning home the temperature on my car was 16 deg C.
I know 16 deg C is not very warm for most of you guys, but in the UK this is very early to receive a warm day. I was going to say tropical, but that would be pushing it to say the least LOL !!!!
Hope you guys are having a warm dry relaxing day, as we are in the UK.

We just had the hottest summer I can remember, with numerous heat waves. One day it reached 42 deg C, which was the hottest day ever recorded for any month in our city. Nine people were taken to hospital with heat stroke. A lot of people would have been wishing for 16 degrees that day, lol.

42 deg C is too warm, you would just want to escape that. Or stay in doors with the air conditioning on maximum. I suppose we get colder winters to even everything up.

I can agree with you there John. My partner, my son and his girlfriend took me to lunch today for my birthday at a country park down here in the wilds of Essex. Lovely blue sky but a bit of a chilly northerly breeze. Still, nice to be out!

I believe it was all over the UK, in North Scotland we had no breeze so stayed warm.
