Authority not needed to start?
I used to believe that I needed. approval from higher ups before I could even begin writing, and that is simply not the case.
While it's true that your authority will grow as you learn more about a subject and gain experience writing reviews and suggesting ideas on blog posts, you'll still need to rely on research when writing blog posts about topics where your expertise isn't as strong.
Blog posts and my newly acquired knowledge would be stagnant and boring if I gave in to imposter syndrome and believed all the naysayers.
So, if you're just starting out, don't worry about sounding authoritative; if what you're writing is in your own words and helps people, then by all means, publish it
You could earn money from those unauthorized blogs.

Every master at that trade once started as a newbie. I had no idea what affiliate marketing was before I started doing it. I had no idea how to run a business before I started doing it. I had no idea how to shoot a basketball before I started doing it.
Anyone can master their craft, if they put forth the time, effort, and immerse themselves in that craft (or niche). And then authority is decided not by you, rather the audience you help and they will assign that to you and your brand will establish over time.
Great post here John!
I've always felt its better to just be your authentic self. You'll attract your tribe. Thanks John!
