Doing the happy dance! :-
Was being bombarded by WA e-mail, so went in and changed the settings. Was getting over 150 e-mails every day and couldn't catch up. Went in and changed the settings, so now it is more manageable, but maybe I set it wrong and not getting enough e-mails.
The thing is, at least here, you don't have to come out with a big amount right away and can pay by the month. I know it will take time and I am patient, because I know it will pay off in the end.
Things are progressing slowly, but now that I have the e-mails under control, I can spend more time on my website. Still have to make sure I get my site backed up, before I update to the new version of WordPress.
That saying I am a little behind on bills, not much, but I wanted to get my car license renewal paid, which was due in January. Don't drive my car a lot, but now that the weather is finally warming up here, I want to use it a little more. Wasn't too keen about driving it in the winter anyway, but even though I am able to keep up with my bills, with my disability check, buying the car takes another bite out of my check. I hate to sell it.
Anyway I wanted to borrow $500, from the Credit Union here, so I could pay a couple bills and buy a few things I needed. I waited until I got things going pretty good here, so I would have something to convince them to give me a loan.
I want to have a little bit of a cushion, so I am not scraping by each month. I sent the information to the lady I deal with and I got the loan! When I went to sign the papers, she had more good news for me.
My credit score went up to 601 and because I have been paying 2 collection agencies for 3 different credit cards, they were able to drop my rate down to 13.8%. It had been over 18% before, so my credit score went up, my loan interest went down, she put the car loan on 30 months, so my payment went from $183 to $180 a month.
I tend to worry too much, even though I know I shouldn't and that it don't do any good, but I can't help it. The good credit news made me feel great! I wanted to get the loan, so I can continue building my website and not having that on my mind all the time.
I also had problems with a lady across the hall from me, trying to tell me my dog is always barking. People here call and complain to the Apartment Manager, but don't talk to me first and let me know when he is supposedly doing that. Either I have him or Roy across the hall has him.
I am making up a notice, to put on the bulletin boards telling people here to call me, if my dog is annoying them, let me know what it is, so I can see what I can do about it. It could only be 1 day a week, on Sundays, when he might be here by himself for about an hour, maybe 1 1/2 hrs, when I go to this little restaurant with a couple friends. The lady across the hall tried telling me he was barking and howling for 2-3 hours, which I am never gone that long at any time. Now I will see what happens.
Makes me mad that the Manager assumes these people are telling the truth, then gets on my case because people are complaining. I don't think she even asks them if they talked to me. Talked to one of the guys here, who has a dog, which my dog gets worked up about and said not to worry, he is trying to get them to slowly accept each other.

I was so over whelmed with e-mails, I couldn't believe it! After I went in and changed the settings, now I don't get as many, but wondered if I checked more boxes than I should. At least can take a sign of relief!

Glad you have your emails under control. They can get a little overwhelming and so can bills ~Debbi.
Glad your finances are getting sorted out John...and worry is bad for you so try to let that go if you can.
A friend of mine had a dog in an apartment and got complaints about him barking when she was gone. She left a tape recorder running while she was at work to see how bad of a problem it was. She found out that her dog barked for about 5 minutes as soon as she left in the morning and apparently slept the rest of the day!
John, glad things are working out for you. I'm sure your dog is not that much of a problem. People who don't have much going on in their lives seem to enjoy complaining about other people. I once had a neighbor complaining about my dog barking all the time and I was very worried about that. But one day she called to complain that my dog was barking again, but the dog was asleep on my lap. LOL. Your manager complains to you only because people complain to her...she just wants people not to complain to her and if they do, she'll pass it on wherever she can. Good luck. I think maybe part of it is I don't spend time in the community room putting puzzles together and associating with those down stairs. I call it the "Tongue Waggers Club", ha ha. They love gossiping, but I am too busy on my website now! I am definitely going to put a note on the bulletin board and if there are any problems to contact me, not jump on the phone and make a complaint, to the Manager. lol

I think here, in the building, people really don't have anything else to do, but complain. No matter what happens, I don't think it will ever end. They had the TV, in the Community room, which they were fighting over, then it's non-smokers complaining about smoke coming into their apartments. I am sure it gets in the hall, but don't know about the apartment. At least I am on 2nd floor, so people here are pretty nice.
