Time is slipping
My great Wealthy Affiliate friends, time IS slipping away. I can't stop it or rewind it, or make more of it, but can I MANAGE it better?
I realize that I can do better. I haven't yet done ALL that I could do to achieve my goals.
It's time to GO ALL IN!
What I mean is, commit completely:- Commit to investing even more of my time and effort in learning here every day
- Commit to putting the learning into action here every day
What do you think? Do you have any opportunities to better manage time and do more here?
I've been wondering if we really appreciate "time"? We say we always have SO little of it don't we - time just slips away so quickly.....
CONSIDER THIS:
Spend your whole day in bed. NOT sleeping. BUT, eyes closed, ears plugged, noone else around. And, just "counting each passing second all day". Think and do nothing else.
Let's assume 16 hours...have you ever counted slowly to 100? BORING!! Well how about to 57,600? I guarantee you, time would not "slip away so quickly!"
How do you spend your 57,600 seconds every day?
Do you schedule every second relative to your "goals, objectives, and the expected Return on Investment"? .
I do not. But, I CAN make some changes, and commit more of my time to "go all in!"
And, I'll share my new plan with someone who will check-in on my progress regularly so that it's more likely to happen.
Friends, we have so many "precious seconds" every day to invest in ourselves and our success.- but how many "second chances" will we get?
Share your thoughts - I'd love to hear them - let's commit together!
Have a wonderful new day - and "go all in"!
- John

Thank you for this precious post, John, I have to say I'm fully committed to learning and working hard on my goals but there is still so much space for improvement!
I spend way much time here reading and commenting (but I excuse myself that I'm learning as well). Have to rearrange my time to work more on the content for my website if I want to accomplish something.
Time is precious and I'm more and more aware of that.
I too spend a lot of time reading and commenting here but like you, I too rationalize that I continue to find new advice, training and tips along the way that will be very useful - so I think we need to balance our team in these comments with the time we also need to spend on our site posts and development. It's a lot to manage but thankfully it'sf fun work!
It is! I enjoy it so much and that's why it's so hard to stop it! But knowing what I want, I just have to.
We can update on that to see how we'll have managed. :)
Time is certainly a precious finite resource and should be used WISELY, which is much easier said than done!
Jeff
Great post, thanks for sharing your thoughts. Good things take time and commitment to making them worthwhile. This is a prime example.
Way to go Mat - good thing WILL happen here if we commit and dive in! All the best to you my friend!
Time is such a precious commodity that once its gone it can never be got back. Thats why it's so important to make every second count in pursuit of achieving our dreams and goals.
We all have other demands on our time so planning and prioritizing are key skills for us entrepreneurs
Thanks for the timely reminder John (no pun intended 🙂)
Love your feedback Dave - thank you sincerely! We're all friends here on a great journey to achieve our dreams - enjoy life and help others along the way!
Best wishes to you every day!

Hi John, Like Mark said below, All In does take time. I started with WA at the very end of August and have used things like content creator to set posting targets. So far I'm on 5 posts each week and gathering momentum. I set achievable targets weekly and usually increase the following week. That's only on posting, as you know there's plenty of other goals to achieve. Keep going and your business will grow. Good luck, Steve C
HI Claudio - it's definitely something different for everyone but i loved Steve's suggestions below where he says he used "content creator". to set posting targets for each week. i'm just working mainly on dedicating and scheduling more time here and reducing the time I spend watching TV or some other distractions that aren't productive. Good luck with your efforts and let me know how you're doing ok?
All the best,
John
Thanks John for all your explanation. In my case, distraction often makes me lose tasks that I had programmed. It is a challenge for me.I will fight to improve.
Great post John. Yes, time is fleeting. I try to organize my day to do all the things I have to do at home, my semi-retirement job requires some time and I try to spend the rest a at WA.
Glad you’re setting your priorities.

I really need to do something! Thanks for the reminder. Busy-ness is not an excuse. I need to learn to manage my time.
I hear you Geraldine! I can see from what you share on your profile that you really are busy girl!! I too feel so busy all the time and I realize I create some of it myself with things that aren't absolutely necessary. I'm working on it!
Thank you SO much for contributing here!
Best wishes to you!
John
You hit the nail on the head. I know I'm guilty of the same things. Working hard to correct that, so I will be more productive from now on, thanks, Deanna
