My Name is Joanne and I am a Serial Procrastinator!
Hi all! So I'm completing level 2 even though I have been a premium member for some time. I am a serial procrastinator! No excuses!
I have spent much of my time learning to increase my positive thinking and learning to believe in myself again. So, whilst I do at times procrastinate, I try to concentrate in moving myself out of depression.
One important lesson to learn is that you are never alone, no matter how much you feel it so when you are in a depressed state of mind. I have picked myself up and dusted off from many failures and mistakes. But, the best progress has been when I stepped back and asked for help. And where better than the Wealthy Affiliate family do we not only get help but can give help in return.
I thoroughly enjoy Wealthy Affiliate and whilst I am not always active, I love reading success stories, goals reached and feeling proud to be a part of such an entrepreneurial community.
So my successes? Becoming a better person. Learning to believe in myself and actually taking steps to ask for help.
Wealthy Affiliate family, I wish you all success. Keep up then encouragements, sharing knowledge and reaching goals. I know I am ready for more!
Good luck to you all!
Jo x

Well, Ms Procrastinator (welcome to the club). You've stepped outside your comfort zone and written a post. Not only that but you've used a great title which made me stop my procrastinating and read.
Just break down every task into very small and easy tasks.
For example, if you want to write an article, just focus on writing the first sentence.
When ready, just focus on the second one.
This approach works for many people because they have no problem to complete easy tasks so they do not procrastinate.
Welcome to the procrastinators club Joanne. It is so easy to avoid doing something that you don't even know that you wouldn't like to do.
Procrastination and depression seem to go together quite often especially in my experience.

We all do it. It comes down to awareness and having a sense of motivation that pushes us away from procrastination and to productivity.
Often times it comes down to completing that ONE task that has been slowing you down, that you haven't be looking forward to doing, or that overwhelms you. The minute you get through that, the procrastination ends. :)
Thanks for the words of encouragement Kyle. I agree that once I get started and get over that original hurdle, productivity kicks in! :)

Good post, and, hey, I think we've all had our procrastination moments. A very important part of getting your business going is to first get yourself in the right place. You need to believe in yourself and to feel confidence that you can move forward. If it takes you some time to get those steps in place, that's fine -- take what time you need. We will be here. Glad you wrote this post.
Thank you
