I’m normally a shy person and I would rather be behind the scenes. I guess what I’m saying is. Do I have to be out there to be successful? Or can I create like a m
This is the first contact your visitors have with your site, they want to know the founder, what's the site about, can they establish rapport and above all can they trust the site and is it content worthy and user experience friendly.
Think of it when you walk in a store, what would you like to see and what would your first impression be. If it doesn't hold to your standards you'd leave, If the visitor doesn't feel at ease, they will click away.
So I'd leave it to you to decide.
Jason, they do not have to see your face for a website or even if you make your own Youtube videos. It may help some, but its not necessary.

Hi Jason,
No, you do not have to show your face on your website.
However, I highly recommend you do show your face on your website because it's a way your readers can build trust with you. Showing your face is a way to brand yourself. The thing is, you are not physically facing your readers and because of that, you want them to trust you.
For me personally, I read articles that show the face of the author.
It's up to you...
Hope this helps you decide, Jason.
Regards,
Monica
