Moonwalk, Success!

Remember what happened 7 months ago at Samsung 843?

I wrote a blog post here about my embarrassing failure.

Moonwalk, Failed Attempt

For it was last August when I ended up with egg on my face, after a failed attempt of my Moonwalk.

A virtual Moonwalk that I thought would be a “walk in the park.”

However, back on August 21 due to unforeseen and foolish gastronomical activity before the walk – namely eating a delicious steak and egg with sour cream in a pita bread with a large jalapeno pepper for lunch from the famous Euro street food vendor Miznon at the Chelsea Market in NYC.

Due to my gastronomical blunder, I had to sadly abandon my mission!

Not yesterday!

Yesterday, the Sun was shining on the horizon….and it was Moonwalk Success!

I Made Sure They Got It Right

As I promised you, this time I would make sure not to eat for several hours prior and to stress that the equipment setup was done correctly.

To be safe, I certainly wasn’t going to assume the Samsung virtual operators had this part mastered or remembered what I told them.

However to my great surprise, since my last failed attempt at Samsung 843 I was very glad to hear the VR operators kept they’re promise on the advice I’d given them, and warned all new participants not to eat for at least 2 hours prior.

Now every time prior to someone “suiting up” for their moonwalk, if they would say they’ve eaten a meal within the past 2 hours, the operators will no longer say “..it shouldn’t be a problem” like they once told me, they simply will not let them do the walk.

This time I also knew exactly what to avoid.

First, I made certain that the operators didn’t strap me into the harness so tight to the point it would be cutting off some of my oxygen, not to mention that the suit would be prohibitively uncomfortable!

Second, I made sure my virtual reality visor was not blurred. This was a major problem before as I kept adjusting the wheel on top of my visor, but the clarity never was quite optimum. Yesterday, I made certain the operators would take the extra time to get the right clarity, to where it finally felt “right.”

They finally succeeded!

Lastly, Samsung still required my signage of a waiver beforehand asking if I had epilepsy, vertigo, respiratory issues etc., or any pre-condition that would preclude you from partaking in such activity. Which is a good thing and definitely the right thing to do.

Now I knew I was ready, no problems whatsoever.

All systems were clear, here comes the “green light.”

Mission Control, Success!

On my second virtual walk on the moon, there would be no “abort the mission” this time!

Unlike after 3 minutes of the first go-round, there would be no experience of nausea or any severe headache. There would be no unanticipated problems from the onset.

It was fabulous!

Well, after this sensational mind-bending virtual experience they agreed with me: that not eating for at least 4 hours prior to the virtual walk made all the difference.

Despite having done many thrill-seeking activities in the past that were actually REAL such as skydiving from a plane, and avid snowboarding, this still was a thrilling experience!

Mission control, what a Success!

Success lies in the proof of my Footprint!

And unlike the last time back in August, even better this time I didn’t have to deal with the extra stress of preparing for a big social media seminar to attend the next day.

That Instagram social media seminar is coming in NYC on March 21.

And I'm ready to resume my go-fer duties!

For now though, I’m happy to say it was thrilling and fun sharing this follow-up post and cool photos of my now successful virtual “walk on the moon” Ladies and Gents.

Cheers,

Kaju

This seems like one of those things I should put on my bucket list for sure! Do they only have that in your area?
Bill

I highly recommend this for your bucket list Bill!
A sensational visceral and tech experience!

If you are located in any major city, Google it and there may be a "virtual reality moonwalk" near you! Good Luck!

Kaju

My son is a technical manager for athletics at Ohio State University. He would love to do this. I will see when one is around here. thanks

This will be a Great Family outing on a Sunday, rest assured!

CONGRATS, Kaju! So proud of you, and I know it must have been a trip of a lifetime! Did you remember to get me the piece of moon rock you promised me???!

Oh Carol, Thank You! Yes, in fact I did remember to get you a small chunk of that Moonrock, just as promised!

It will be delivered to you via "MoonPS" very soon on an undisclosed date:)

K

I'll be waiting with baited breath! Actually, I might be having a bit of difficulty breathing, as I'm having sinus surgery tomorrow!

Oh I'm really sorry to hear this Carol! Good luck and wishing you a safe and successful procedure, I'm sure this will give you the relief you need:)

Hope you are not away too long, I need my "sparring partner!"

Thanks, Kaju. I'm hoping I'll be able to smell and taste again, as well as breathe!

You can't get rid of me that easily! I will probably sleep all day tomorrow, Sat. and Sun. because of the pain meds, but will probably be up and about by Monday. Will keep in touch.

Breathing is very important...Lol!
I'm sure this will only be a "blip" Carol.

Take Your Time and REST!!
Take extra time if you need it, you will be fine:)

Kaju

Yes, I am, too. I don't feel too bad, but weak and need a lot of rest at the moment.

That's good to hear Carol. Take extra time:)

I've only been up to eat and rinse my nose the past 2 days.Hope I'll have enough energy to at least stay up for awhile tomorrow. Haven't even felt like reading, and that's unheard of for me! Nose is starting t itch now, so guess that must be a good sign that it's healing.

Take your time, and get better:)

Thanks. I'm working on it!

Your sis and I aren't going anywhere:)

I know, and that's comforting. I hate being under the weather!

You will be fine, I am sure:)

Yeah. The worst part now is my technicolor nose and having to rinse it out 6-8 times/day. Didn't go to chorus rehearsal tonight. Had planned to go so I could hear director's instructions, but not sing, but decided to stay home with Leia instead. She was boarded for 4 days for the surgery, and I didn't want to leave her tonight.

Good choice, Leia need you. Hope you feel better:)

Thanks. I'm working on it. Allergies are really ramping up with this early spring weather, though. Have call in to surgery center to find out if it's OK for me to take my Zyzal now.

Good Luck

Thanks. Just finished proofreading/editing a looong article for a friend who is starting a new business. My eyes are bugging out! Guess I'll go rinse out my sinuses (I'm remiss on that today because I've been pounding the keyboard all day!) and go lie down with my puppy for awhile. By the way, how is your dystonia?

Sounds like you are feeling better f you are writing, that's good. Don't go too buggy eyed, take many break! Dystonia is pretty much the same, on and off.

I am feeling better, but tried to read awhile this afternoon and fell asleep. Think the "trauma" of the surgery must have caused the fibro to raise its ugly head, because I'm not in much pain, but have absolutely NO energy. Hopefully tomorrow I'll be able to get the errands I've been needing to get done all week accomplished.

Sorry to hear Carol. You may need another week of rest.

Yep. I'm afraid you're right, O wise one!

Good realization:)

Absolutely!

Pos-ilutely!

Abso-tively!

Looks like fun. You do a lot of cool stuff. Thanks for sharing Kaju.

Thanks Mick, it was some really cool fun,
Let's succeed, but never lose sight of the fun.

Great to see you, and continued success:)!
Kaju

Hi Kaju,
Thanks so much for sharing. Looks like a lot of fun!

Blessings,
Donna:)

Had a blast....to the Moon, Donna!
Thanks!
Kaju

Wow, I would like to do a moon walk, you are always out there having fun :) soon we will hear you are on an actual space ship lol

Haha! That would be something in my dreams, Snazzy! Imagine a WA Spaceship where we can all gather and "fly to the moon"!

Well, who knows what's next??!
Kaju

Hey even better is a WA plane to take us Vegas lol

Now you are TALKING! Keep talking to me...:)

Looks like heaps of fun.

Loads of fun, Phil. And quite an exhilarating experience!
Thanks!

Kaju,

Great update on your journey both on the pavement of the five boroughs as well as on the surface of the Samsung VR simulated moon, sans the gastronomical blunder.

Blessings!

Thank You Gabriel, I wanted to start writing more posts about my journeys in the Big City once again:) This one was one I couldn't miss, since I promised way back I'd keep everyone updated.

Success, on and off the pavement!

Blessings,
Kaju

Kaju,

Since you always have all of that extra time...you may consider doing some on the road documentary titled "From Moonwalk Virtual Reality (VR) to Recreational Vehicle (RV) - The Complete Journey".

So the script would call for multiple stops along a pre determined route which will offer a glimpse into history, food, events..

Imagine the crowds awaiting for the arrival of the RV (you can get some souped up motorcoach) ...

Discovery Channel material for sure.

I can just see part of the teaser/trailer: "He has walked on the surface of the Samsung moon, virtually..Now he is coming to a town near you!".

Let me know when you will need some extras on the set when you get to my neck of the woods.

I will stay tuned for more updates.

Onward (RV) and upward (VR).

Blessings!

Lol!! Thanks Gabriel, will keep you updated:)

Interesting new graphic for your profile pic, Gabriel!

Kaju,

Indeed it is, however, it is not a temporary fling like March Madness rather trying to develop a brand for my online marketing websites.

I wonder if you were able to see my new logo from way up there during the Samsung moonwalk.

Wishing you great and continued success in the multiple areas God has so well gifted you with talents, may you continue to reach for new heights!

Blessings!

Yes indeed I was able to see it from space Gabriel, it stood out proud between the geographical outlines of the Great Lakes and the Grand Canyon!

And YES, I have certainly reached New Heights as being a witness from the view:)

Much Success with your new brand, Gabriel!

Kaju

Another great adventure! Thanks for posting...

Nice to see you Fran, it certainly was! Hope all is well, and everything is moving forward nicely:)

Kaju

Thanks, Kaju. It's all moving forward, but I have some kind of error on my site that is keeping Google from indexing my posts. I am working on it...must find out what is wrong. Other than that, life is grand.

Check with Jay (Magistudios) about that error, and you should also have your Google Search Console account connected to your website, so you can learn how to use this great tool to check where these errors are coming from.

It also would serve you well to set up your XML Sitemaps (through Search Console), so Google will index your site faster.

Thanks...I will check with Jay, but first I plan to watch his video and anything else I can find about Google Analytics. I do XML Sitemaps regularly. There is some glitch in there that I've caused that stops Google from indexing me...I will find it...

Sounds good Fran, I am sure you will. I am thinking you might want to Crawl your site through GSC to uncover those errors to see where what's causing your site from not indexing.

Update: I finally contacted SiteSupport, and they discovered that I had two SEO plugins...one from my website and one from Google. I have no idea how that happened! They disabled the Google one, so hopefully I'll start getting indexed again.

Fran, I would go one step further: if you are not using those plugins, don't only disable them, DELETE THEM.

It does not show up on my site! I don't know where SiteSupport found it, but it has been taken care of. Since I haven't even seen it, there is nothing to delete. Strange, no?

Site Support might have deleted those plugins for you:)
Without you ever seeing them.

Wow, that looked very exciting and I would love to try something like that. Google and I are gonna have to talk about where to find someplace close that does the Moonwalk.

....and sells that burger

Fantastic! I'm sure Uncle google will tell you where to find this amazing virtual reality experience near you!
Thanks Azalea!
