Thanks for your reply. Caps Lock isn't on. :( I'm copying and pasting so I'm not sure what the problem is. I've tried to type the fields in by hand as well without any luck.

I'm just trying to find a good premium theme and I see that you were having problems with Divi last year. Have your issues been resolved?
I really like the look of Divi - I am creative and not at all technical, so it appeals to me much more than Studiopress.
It worries me that there don't seem to be many posts about divi.
Any feedback would be very much appreciated.

It can be related to a plugin also, so maybe start with deactivate and see if it solves the problem...

It is not provided by the theme, but you should be able to set featured images by editing the functions.php (appearance, editor)
And there you add this line:

Oh Bert, you have a lot of faith in me....I am scared of touching PHP...I've been known to break websites. Would you be willing to do it for me? Pretty please with a cherry on top? :D If not, that's cool. I have a web developer friend who might be willing to do it too.

Yes, I will do it, but I will first check the change on a test site of mine (only takes 5 minutes), but I need your FTP username + password to access the file...
Those credentials you can find in the row where you normally click "log on to" and a litlle bit further you have a button details, click that and all the info wiill appear above that row...
I just need username/password and your site name...
(Hope it is not Rubix, cause then there are no ftrp settings, then you will have to do it together with your friend...)
And send a PM with the credentials!! :-)

(But I am not using Divi Theme.)
My guess is that pages have a different display format as posts. What I did to workaround is to insert the image at the top of my page instead.

It is kind of annoying and frustrating, isn't it? It seems like if it would be offered for one, why not the other too?
I did try to add the image directly into the post and it just didn't look the same. (I'm overly fussy with how things look on my site).
