Setting Goals
I started training and making my website 7 weeks before I had my baby thinking I'll still have plenty of time to work on it once baby is born... I've done it all before blah blah blah! Safe to say I was massively wrong! I was signed off sick from work from about 25 weeks so I had lots of time to sit about feeling sorry for myself, website and everything else I was doing was going pretty well.
Labour was a disaster.. I was 6 days overdue, baby hadn't grown in 3 weeks so labour was induced. Hospital mixed up my covid test with someone else so for 24 hours I was thought to be positive. After my husband wasn't allowed into the labour room with me the hospital admitted they messed up and I was infact negative. My husband watched his son being born over FaceTime. After 3 hours of active labour my babies heart rate and movements had dropped significantly so a C-Section was discussed. All the while my husband was trying his best to communicate with the midwifes that I was in no fit state to be signing the consent form that was being waved about my face.. he was completely ignored.
Shortly after birth baby was taken into urgent care due to another mistake by the hospital so as soon as we got the all clear I discharged myself and got us home.
Fast forward 7 weeks.. baby has doubled in weight and grew 12 centimetres since birth, we're into a good solid routine now and I'm ready to pick up where I left off and get my head back into this. I've been doing a little bit here and there but not nearly as much as I would like to be doing but I'm feeling positive, I'm setting goals and targets and generally just feeling great.

So glad to hear your baby is doing well now and that you are feeling good too! Being a new mom don't leave you a lot of time to work on a new business! Where there is a will there is a way though! :) Keep plugging away at it when you can and you will get it going! Congratulations on the birth of your little one and your new business!

Thank you 🙂 the whole experience genuinely felt like I was part of a messed up TV show where everything goes wrong. I forgot how amazing having a newborn is and feel like I’ve landed really lucky as he is such a content little thing.
