Playing a tennis match in my brain! HELP!

I know you can't make this decision for me... But I have a question for anyone willing to give me input!

I originally started WA in the excitement to build a website around WA, after some soul-searching and seeing some lights at the end of tunnels (ya know.. All that corny stuff) I have this BIG urge pushing me to completely switch my website to a different niche!

now this niche is something I am overly passionate about, and my current website doesn't have too much content and isn't very WA plastered I guess you can say.

So my question is basically... Would you think it's a better idea to switch things around on my website to create something I'm 75%b more passionate about?

Has anyone ever done this before?

Any suggestions would help me. I mean I may have already made up my mind, but I would like to hear from others!

Thanks guys! I do truly love it here and I'm excited for my future!

Jenn

Research and study it out before pushing off Jenn!

I had the same epiphany when I had already started with a niche. Since my first niche already has SO much content on it, it is a shame to give it up. I'm doing both. I made a rule for myself, that I MUST post at least 1x per week to my original blog, and then the rest of the time I can devote to my new blog. Hope this helps.

Hi Jenn, my first and current website is on sea sponges. When I started to write content I focused on kitchen sponges. But then through the research I did, it became clear to me that sea sponges are the best sponges people can get their hands on. So I shifted from synthetic sponges to natural sea sponges. Now I'm discovering through more research that there's much more to sea sponges than cleaning.

I suggest you go with what excites your intellect and emotions. If you do that It will feel more natural and effortless. Not to mention, you'll enjoy the process.

The 'make money online' niche can be a tough place to get started.

If I were you I would go with your passion. A few reasons why:

- Even if you don't end up getting the financial success you hoped (worst case scenario) you will at least have an awesome site that reflects your passion!

- Why bother promoting WA and talking about how to make money online when you're still learning yourself? I always encourage people to AT LEAST spend a few months on the certification course.

At least that way, even if they're not making money online, they have a better understanding of HOW TO; and they can more effectively explain WHY WA is such a great tool.

- Creation of content- it's easier to write about your passion that yet another 'is XXX a scam? My findings...' post. As a beginner, you should really focus on learning how to write great content, and the only way to get good at writing great content is to...

...write content!

And in turn, the the more content that you create the better you'll get at it. So you should go for a niche where you'll be writing regularly (a few times a week at least).

- Influencers.

It depends what your niche is, but if you are passionate about it you are likely to have connections with other people in the niche and would be more respected as an influencer.

For example, one of my niches is magic tricks. I write about magic; but I also have links to my instagram, which show me doing magic. Because I don't just talk the talk, but actually have a level of respect within the niche community, I have more weight as an potential influencer.

Whereas, in the MMO niche, you (most likely) won't be making much money for the beginning stages, so in turn you have less weight and influence as an influencer.

Sorry, this turned out longer than I planned! If anyone spots any incorrect info, feel free to correct me!

Hope this helps!

What is your passion for the new website?

To be honest if I were you I’d go with what you are more passionate about. In the long run it will be easier for you to write content and it won’t feel boring and or feel like your having to do a chore.

You could always still promote WA in a more subtle way of putting one of those banners with your affiliate link in it put it on the side bar or whatever your theme will let you put it.

If someone clicks it and they buy you get a commission but all in all like my dad always has told me is

“Do what you love and love what you do.”

i did thi as well - started on a wa site and found myself lacking - not wanting to t ake the standard direction and not really passionate about it.
i have gone on to create a couple of sites in areas i am more passionate about - still struggle a little with some concepts - need to get out of engineering mode and into marketer mode.
but am a lot happier - even tried the super affiliate course and still found that it eludes me.
so i would seroiusly go with your passion, but before you ump ship write down as much as you can as to where you wanted the other site to go. you can always go back to this in the future.
have a goal for the new site rather than just putting up a site, you have more knowledge of what it is about now so take longer to sketch a plan of how many posts, categories, target audience - where d othey hang out - can you talk their language - if not learn it, can you solve other small problems on their forums - are you bringing something new to the table.
none of these are to put you off pursuing your passion but just to get the brain thinking about what you want out of this.
good luck with your new site

Hi Jenn, I would say yes. If changing your niche at this point will mean that you will do the work required to get your business going and will continue to stay focused on it...then I would change the niche. It's hard to stay motivated about something if you're not that interested in it. You know what I mean? I will add that many people here either have more than one niche, or, changed their niche along the way, myself included! It's not uncommon for someone's 1st niche not to be their last.

Go with your passion.
Promoting WA is ok for the more experienced among us but there is a lot of competition in the work from home niche.

Hi Jenn,
I would go with your passion, it will shine through your content than if you were doing something that you weren't too passionate about.
